Shahin Shahr (Persian: شاهين شهر،شایین شهر, also Romanized as Shāhīn Shahr)[3] is a city in the Central District of Shahin Shahr and Meymeh County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] At the 2006 National Census, its population was 126,070 in 33,515 households, when it was in the Central District of the former Borkhar and Meymeh County).[5] The following census in 2011 counted 143,308 people in 41,730 households,[6] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Shahin Shahr and Meymeh County, with Shahin Shahr as its capital.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 173,329 people in 54,300 households.[2]
