Nazarabad (Persian: نظرآباد; [næzæɾɒːˈbɒːd]), also Romanized as Naz̧arābād; also known as Naz̧arābād-e Bozorg and Naz̧arābād-e Moghadam,[3] is a city in the Central District of Nazarabad County, Alborz province, Iran, serving as the capital of both the county and the district.[4] The city is well-known for growing fruit for Tehran.[citation needed] At the 2006 National Census, the population of the city was 97,684 in 24,583 households, when Nazarabad County was in Tehran province.[5]
