Najafabad (Persian: نجف‌آباد; .mw-parser-output .IPA-label-small{font-size:85%}.mw-parser-output .references .IPA-label-small,.mw-parser-output .infobox .IPA-label-small,.mw-parser-output .navbox .IPA-label-small{font-size:100%}Persian pronunciation: [nædʒæfɒːˈbɒːd])[a] is a city in the Central District of Najafabad County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[5] It is west of Isfahan and is increasingly becoming a part of the Isfahan Metropolitan area. At the 2006 National Census, its population was 206,114 in 54,529 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 221,814 people in 64,612 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 235,281 people in 72,799 households.[3]
