Khimki
Khimki (Russian: Химки, .mw-parser-output .IPA-label-small{font-size:85%}.mw-parser-output .references .IPA-label-small,.mw-parser-output .infobox .IPA-label-small,.mw-parser-output .navbox .IPA-label-small{font-size:100%}IPA: [ˈxʲimkʲɪ]) is a city in Moscow Oblast, Russia. It is located approximately 18 kilometres (11 mi) northwest from central Moscow,[8] and is part of the Moscow metropolitan area. Khimki was initially a railway station that existed since 1850 on the Moscow – Saint Petersburg Railway. The Moskva-Volga Canal was constructed between 1932 and 1937 on which Khimki lies on the west bank. Khimki was then officially founded in 1939.[9]
