Khasavyurt

Khasavyurt[a] is a city in Dagestan, Russia. Population: 155,144 (2021 Census);[7] 131,187 (2010 Russian census);[8] 121,817 (2002 Census);[9] 70,514 (1989 Soviet census).[10] It was founded in 1846 and granted town status in 1931.[citation needed] During the Russian Empire, the settlement was the administrative capital of the Khasavyurtovsky Okrug of the Terek Oblast.
