Kermanshah

Kermanshah (Persian: کرمانشاه, romanized: Kermânšâh [keɾmɒːnˈʃɒː] ⓘ, Kurdish: کرماشان, romanized: Kirmaşan),[4] is the capital of Kermanshah Province, located 525 kilometres (326 miles) from Tehran in the western part of Iran. According to the 2016 census, its population is 946,651[2] (2021 estimate 1,047,000).[5] At the 2006 National Census, its population was 784,602 in 202,588 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 851,405 people in 242,311 households.[7]
