Quite disappointed with the flavour or the food. Quality is good, like the prawns were juicy and fresh, but the flavour was meh. Salmon skin was incredibly crunchy though. Sure we were there for an event but expected a lot more flavour wise. Surprisingly enjoyed the black sesame ice cream.

I visited here to eat Peking duck. I made a reservation through the application locally, and I could communicate my inquiries by e-mail. I was embarrassed when I was informed about the dress code, but I was able to enter the restaurant after asking for your understanding. I feel like I'm rushing the order a little, but it wasn't a problem. The food I ordered was more delicious than I expected, and the taste of Peking duck with caviar was more fascinating than I imagined.

The classic style decor of the restaurant transports you to a quaint town in Europe. The highlight of course is the food. The special pasta with octopus was delicious. The steak Florentina was spot on. If you order wine, they'll invite you to their wine cellar, which is probably better stocked than most wine shops in town. Not sure if this place will keep going after the turf club is closed. I'll visit more while it's still there

Gives you a fine dining experience. Nice place with tall ceilings and a posh setup. The furniture was good and comfortable. The menu was decent and the taste was unique. Do try the biryani and restaurant recommended dishes. Expect to spend $80+ ( with svc chr n gst). Felt a little shorthanded on staff and felt rushed towards the end.

My daughter gave me a surprise birthday celebration at Wakanui. It was a very beautiful experience. The meat was grilled to perfection, seasoned just right! The other dishes are awesome! The lamb chop was perfect, sea bass is exquisite and the Tiger prawn appetiser with bamboo shoots was mouth-watering. Service crew were on-point, friendly and very professional. Chef Andrew, the Head Chef led his team with excellence. Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends! Thanks for the wonderful dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent ambience and exemplary service coupled with a curated menu! Our service crew – Daryl was very attentive and considerate through the whole dining experience. His recommendations were palatable. He also took the effort to explain the sequence of the starters and mains to ensure we get to fully enjoy the distinct flavors. As we were celebrating a birthday, he took the extra mile to observe who it was and helped us to pull a surprise on her! It was really thoughtful of the crews to pass a hearty hand-written photo card to the birthday girl too! 101% would recommend and can’t wait to head back for more visits! My favorite was definitely the House Rolls and Rosemead that comes with the savory shitake cultured butter.

One - starred Michelin restaurant located within Voco Hotel (previously known as Hilton Orchard), serving Modern-Contemporary cuisine, established by Restaurateur-Sommelier Ignatius Chan in 2004. There is heavy influence of japanese ingredients used in the menu and served in the European way. Opt for the menu with two main courses for a wholesome dining experience. Food presentation is beautiful and tastefully presented, and what's good to look at is also good to eat.

This was our first Michelin star restaurant experience and it did not disappoint. It was our honeymoon gift to each other. The menu had changed from when we last looked at it online (we were in Singapore for a holiday) and thus my husband was a little disappointed initially as the first two courses were very seafood heavy and he is not a seafood fan. However he was willing to give everything a go. When our waitress realised that some items really weren’t to his taste she and the other staff went out of their way to make sure the rest of our evening was impeccable. They provided us with so many little extra tasters, a beautiful cheese board, and an overall wonderful experience. The food was exquisitely French and the service was 5 star. Everyone in the restaurant had a laugh when the lights went out due to a power issue and it lightened the mood with one of the wait staff making it into a joke about ‘magic.’ Thank you to all the staff who served us and made our dinner/evening one to treasure and remember - we would absolutely recommend friends and family who enjoy top quality food and wine to book at Les Amis.

One of my favorite beef places. The prime rib is very good, with various sizes for different appetites, ranging from 130g all the way to a gargantuan 450g. The entire dining experience was very good as well. Service was attentive, ambience is comfortable, and there is complimentary cake for your birthday month. Prices are on the high side, but there are some promotions that will bring it to a more reasonable range.

Visited this place on a weekday during lunch. Was the only patrons at noon, so for a table for two, we were waited on by three staff members. Despite the high staff to customer ratios, refilling of water requires a degree of effort, which marred the dining experience. Food wise was decent, the trio of pork being a good value, but probably would not be sufficient for two big eaters. The serving of the course were well timed, and clearing of the dishes prompt. Overall, quite comfortable a place to dine, but could be perfect if staff could be more proactive in topping up of the water.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Marguerite restaurant, and I must say, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The team at Marguerite demonstrated a level of service that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and attentiveness. Chef Michael Wilson's culinary expertise truly shone through in the dishes he prepared. Each plate was a masterpiece, carefully crafted with an impeccable balance of flavors and textures. I was particularly impressed with the way he brought out the natural essence of the ingredients, creating dishes that were both sophisticated and comforting. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. The staff's knowledge of the menu and their ability to recommend suitable pairings made the evening even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Marguerite to anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience. The combination of excellent service, Chef Michael Wilson's outstanding dishes, and the restaurant's inviting ambiance make it a standout culinary destination. Truly a memorable dining experience!

Don’t even know where to start here aside from saying that this is easily one of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had. The quality of food was there for sure but it was the sheer level of creativity and theatre that transformed this meal into an actual experience. I won’t spoil too much - you really have to come here for yourself to witness it in person. Even though we received the menu at the start of the meal, I found myself looking forward to every dish that was coming up. There was always an element of surprise with every dish - it could be a surprise component that was revealed only as you dig into the dish, or an element that is not what it appears as. This was really brought to life by the waitstaff who were all incredibly friendly, created open conversation with all of us - and even encouraged us not to be “intimidated” by the fine dining experience but to enjoy it as a meal among friends. From start to finish this entire meal was a joy, and even though I don’t live in Singapore, I would gladly come back year after year to experience this again. As for the food - I’ll let the photos speak for me. But safe to say it was on a whole new level of delicious. Yes it may be expensive, but it is worth every cent.

The diversity of plants in this place is remarkable and definitely worth spending time to walk and appreciate the whole thing. The Avatar experience currently on display is a worth addition but personally I think it is a little disappointing. Having said that the place itself even without the experience is still definitely a must go.

Awesome! I had so much fun. Buy tickets online in advance and you won't wait to enter. Some tips to make the best of your day: research what rides are and which ones you want to do, GO EARLY and during the week. Go early to the busiest rides (roller coasters, transformers). Download the app of the park to see the waiting times. I had a great time did all the rides, didn't wait any longer than 20min. Some rides they do offer single rider, great way to go fast. Variety of food options, good prices too.

We visited on a Monday (10 July, 2023) around 5.30pm; not crowded at all, had the whole place to ourselves. Unfortunately, the hell museum part of Haw par villa is closed on Mondays, so we couldn't see it. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, and the last entry is 5 pm. Other than the hell museum, there was plenty to explore, and we spent about 1.5 hours. It had different depictions showing various virtues of life such as loyalty, humbleness, good deeds, bad deeds, etc. It also explained various scenes from the legends of the Journey of Tripitaka to the west to retrieve the teachings of Buddha. I am not aware of the story more, but I still could understand a little. However, someone with better knowledge of these legends might appreciate them more. I went with a 5 year old, and he enjoyed the entire time running around & looking at different statues. The highlight for him was feeding the tortoises in the pond around the statues atop the haw par villa hill. Would like to visit again sometime, an enjoyable experience. Note: Currently, renovation works are happening. Hence, some sections of the park are closed.

A must visit place for any plant lover. If there's a place in Singapore where nature truly unfolds its grandeur, it is the Singapore Botanical Gardens. Please be ready to walk a lot! This garden boasts an impressive collection of lush tropical flora. The garden is very well maintained. The entry is free but, tickets are required for the orchid garden. The National Orchid garden has numerous varieties of orchid and one can view orchids in multiple colours. the trails lead to various beautiful views like the eco lake, the various plant types and mainly the orchid. The green house room trial was very beautiful. We were lucky to go on a cloudy day and was able to experience this with a beautiful weather. This garden is a UNESCO world heritage centre. Clarke Quay should be on your list of places to visit in Singapore if only to say you've 'been there done that'. There are a lot of overpriced bars and restaurants in the area if that's your vibe. Otherwise, the best touristy thing to do here is take a bum boat ride to get some great views of the city from a different perspective. The best time to plan your ride is around sunset for some beautiful & memorable photos. The bridges crossing the Singapore river are also great (& free) spots for views and selfies.
