It was opened in 1878, and is located within the Bombay University campus in the Fort area. It's height is equivalent to that of a twenty-five storey building and was the tallest structure in Bombay for a long while. It is no longer accessible to the public. Since 2018, it finds mention in the list of World Heritage Sites. It's estimated cost of construction in 2869 - 78 is believed to have been ₹ 5,55,000 a huge sum in those days.

A wonderful place to enjoy a well planned and plated 9 course menu. Obviously well curated and and balanced. Service and atmosphere of the restaurant was really good, food lacked by just a bit. All in all a good place with a different experience and good ambience with reasonably sized portions.

It's very interesting to look at but only available from a distance. I realise that it's a workplace but there must be a way of mixing a visit experience as well - and potentially earning good income for the ghat workers. The juxtaposition of those enormous apartment blocks just beyond the laundry is quite interesting.

Recently had the pleasure of dining at The Table, and I have to say, it was truly a culinary experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere, which immediately set the tone for an unforgettable meal. The service was impeccable from start to finish, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and always on hand to answer any questions or make recommendations. The food was absolutely outstanding. Each dish was expertly crafted and beautifully presented, with a focus on high-quality ingredients and inventive flavor combinations. The standout dishes for me were the crab cake and lamb ragout. Of course, a fine dining experience wouldn't be complete without exceptional desserts, and they did not disappoint in this regard. The Tiramisu is to die for and the portion was humungous. While The Table is certainly on the pricier side, the experience is well worth it for anyone looking for a special occasion or simply an unforgettable meal. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, and I can't wait to go back again.

It's an excellent restaurant. Great interior. Loved the food and service. They're very service oriented and friendly. My favorite was the lamb leg and Dahl Makhani. Their dessert collection is great too. Highly recommended and definitely coming back when I'm back in Mumbai.

Such a prime location and prominent building....and a lacklustre use of this place. It feels stuck in another century. I visited this place a few weeks ago... Somehow not very well ventilated, feels old and stale...and the artifacts are quite remarkable and unlike what one would find anywhere else...which is why I have given 3 stars. The staff is more interested in following rules...maybe that's a good thing. And less interested in making this a place that one can enjoy and take in the rich history and culture of this amazing country of ours. I went to an exhibition in the extended section... Was quite an array of really diverse and amazing work. But poorly organized and placed...felt like a vegetable market. I will visit again because there is more to explore...even though I don't really like the space.

Absolutely exquisite!! This is a fine dining that is a must try cultural-food experience for tourist coming to India. I didn’t get a picture but they have a large plate shaped as the country where they have a special ingredients from every state to put it in a collectively cultural and flavorful dish. The staff explain every dish well and were very attentive to us. Thank you so much for the memories.

An iconic monument located in Mumbai. A symbol of historical significance, It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911. it attracts a large number of tourists. The bustling atmosphere, vibrant street vendors Magnificent view Of Taj And Marine Drive Looks It very Beautiful. You can have a boat ride on the ocean and watch this gateway from the sea. Standing by the Arabian Sea, the view is mesmerizing, especially during sunset. The bustling atmosphere adds to the charm. I would highly recommend the Gateway of India to anyone visiting Mumbai. The monument is not only a beautiful piece of architecture, but it also provides a glimpse into India's fascinating history. Note :- Entry is free if you are willing to have peaceful time at Gateway of India then must visit in the morning time.
