It's nothing special. The staff are kind. The food isn't the best and the prices are little bit expensive, but maybe it's normal for this tourist area. The beer was about 80 TL and one main dishes is about 210 - 250 TL for one person. You get a compliment baklava and tea after the diner which was nice.

Good food, great hospitality and lovely cats. We shared a mixed kebab. Juicy and flavourful meat, they were well grilled with good texture. And you would got about five types of kebab on the plate, accompanied by grilled veggies and rice. We loved the freshly made pomegranate juice, and also had some Turkish coffee and refreshing apple tea, which were all great. Most importantly, there were several really adorable cats in the restaurant when we visited, and they had quite a lot of interactions with us! The staff had been very friendly, and we received complimentary baklavas which tasted nice. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal at Amara, there were a couple of the large meatballs that were undercooked, however this was replaced immediately with freshly cooked meatballs. The staff were very friendly and they were really good to encourage you to try the local cuisine. The food, service and overall atmosphere were really impressive. It was fairly priced. One to recommend to those travelling locally to stop in and try. Visited at 19:00 and very quickly after the restaurant filled with other patrons so to avoid disappointment get in before the rush. Great venue & lovely find!

The views from the terrace restaurant are spectacular. You get a view of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue mosque. It is a seafood restaurant and does little else other than that. So if you are a vegetarian there is very little in the way of choice - some starters but there were no veggie mains on offer. The deserts were really good

Great service, very attentive, kind, and fast waiters. Food is great, recommend the Adana Kebab and Chicken Casserole. Lentil Soup and Shrimp with Butter are also good. Their Turkish salsa is interesting and tasty as well as the hummus. Plus the baklava is good too. On a relatively busy street with no parking though. The restaurant has good outside seating as well.

Looking for an amazing Turkish experience, this is the place the seat and end your journey through “A whole new world”! From the delicious food to the people who make your night one of a kind you will never regret your visit to Silva Oyster Fish Restaurant. Order the Pottery fish or Pottery Kabob and watch as the fire show delights you and your guests. A sparkling fireworks show for every cocktail makes you feel like royalty. This is the epitome of service and making your guest feel special. To top it all off, they invited us for a hookah and private dance show to top off the night in high fashion and a feeling like you want to return and tell all of your friends. Ask for dessert #6!

The atmosphere was amazing, can’t beat the views. Good luck getting a good seat though, unless you book weeks in advance. There were tables on the balcony empty the whole time we ate. We asked to be moved but they refused saying it was reserved, yet another couple came after us and were moved to the balcony when they asked. The food was not what I expected from a Michelin star. They over cooked my lamb, my wife’s sea bass lacked flavor, and the food just generally was not at the level of a Michelin restaurant. The service was slow, they never cleaned our tables between dishes, and we often went with our water glasses empty. I am very surprised how they were awarded a 1 star Michelin. I hope they improve both the service and the food.

A hotel staff recommended us this place and also helped us book one of the best tables! Fine Dine Istanbul is a rooftop restaurant of Hotel Acadia Blue and it has the most wonderful view where you can see the 2 most famous mosques in Istanbul and the Bosphorus strait. Maginificent view with live Turkish music and great food 👍🏻

The bread service is excellent as it comes with a purée of salted, pickled olives. Easy on that though as it can get you full real quick. I ordered the seafood platter after days of just eating the Turkish beef and lamb dishes. It was good! Not the freshest but that’s to be expected in this region. The service was also excellent and you can tell people were sincere with their hospitality. I only deducted 1 star because of the ambience — they were playing country music the whole time I was there, which really didn’t go with the vibe. All in all though, I would return again if I am in the area.

A fantastic spot for dinner and drinks right by Galataport. We ordered the grilled calamari and duck hummus as starters, and the sea bass for our main. This ended up being plenty for two people. The sea bass was the highlight. The skin was perfectly crisp and the fillet itself was juicy and well-seasoned. The calamari and duck hummus were also quite tasty. Service was attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with a scenic view of the Bosporus. Imagine it’s also a great spot if you’re just looking to grab drinks (the cocktails were excellent). Overall, a bit on the pricier side but definitely recommended for anyone looking for an upscale seafood spot.

Me and my wife had dinner in this restaurant. The historical ambiance of the place is great, the atmosphere was nice and the service was also good. Unfortunately, the fault with this place is the food. The food was obviously not fresh at all, as if it had been prepared befor several days , In addition the food was cold , and the meat in the (kebab) plate was unripe and looked as if it was moldy. I hope the food is at the same level as this lovely place.

All waiters spoke English( which is hard to find in Istanbul) and joked around. After the meal they saw me waiting ( basically I was just killing time) and offered me tea on the house. Colour me impressed ! (Felt the true Turkish hospitality ❤️🇹🇷) I would really recommend this place. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious 👌

I can talk for hours about the magnificence of this place. It’s huge! Filled with statues of all famous and non-famous, real and fictional characters. Gods and goddesses, warriors, heroes, remnants of the old ages, archeological excavations, bones, jewelry, a gift shop …etc .. You just have to see it to appreciate it. Outside of the place there is a large expanse of green gardens that you can walk about in. A cafe that serves hot and cold beverages and ice cream! You need a ticket to get in, and if you need an audio guide then prepare your passport before you go.

Very nice bridge because of how cultural it is, when you walk especially in the afternoon you can see the fishermen listening to music and dancing while fishing, you can see the mosques, the Galata tower, the boats, the other bridges, really a very unique place to go for a walk, in the background there are many restaurants that are quite touristy and a bit annoying because they try to seduce you and are really insistent. I really recommend walking on top, but you must see it. Another very important point, be very careful if you decide to eat because they want to charge you more than what it really costs.

Chora Church or Cariye Mosque is closed due to full-scale restoration. First church here was built in IV century A.D. When defensive walls of Theidosius II, church was incorporated in these walls in 413-414 A.D. Today's church was mostly constructed in 1077-1081 when Maria Doukaina (10??-after 1095) the mother in law of Byzantine Emperor Alexius I Comnenus (1057-1118) rebuilt old church. After that, the church was rebuilt several times in the XIV century. Constantinople was conquered by the Ottomans on May 29, 1453, and church was converted into the mosque in 1500, according to the order of Grand Vizier Hadim Ali Pasha (14??-1511). Famous mosaics were covered with the plaster and they survived till nowadays. Mosque became museum in 1945 and again mosque in 2020. Istanbul, 🇹🇷 Turkey 🇹🇷. May 2, 2023.

One of the most stunning buildings in Istanbul. It’s definitely a must visit, keep note of prayer times as they close off the mosque for about an hour around 4 times a day. Both exterior and exterior are stunning, there is usually a queue but it moves quick. It’s also required that women cover up their heads and shoulders and legs as a sign of respect and men cover everything above the knee.
