Busy restaurant during lunch so you might want to book if you have a big group. The selection is quite good but there is no Risotto. The set lunch is a good deal when you add $170, you can get breads, soup or salad and a drink with the main dish. The Veal shank is good, tender and tasty, sauce is nice. The Pork chop is good too. The staff is very efficient now compared to the previous time we were here. That’s the reason we see more customers this time, I guess. Overall, I rate this 3.5 out of 5.

Tried Chef Ben’s menu and Madison menu. The main dish for Chef Ben’s menu I we had was Australian wagyu steak, which was perfectly cooked to medium. Tender and juicy! We had grilled fish as our main dish of Madison menu. Also, impressively delicious with a pinch of lemon and salt. But, not a big fan for soba noodles in Chef Ben’s menu. That truffle penne in Madison menu is a lot better IMO.

I came for authentic Italian dishes, but it brought me nothing but a desperately disappointment. Seems my expectations were way high above than the quality of this store. Tagliatelle was not bad, however it doesn’t surprise me, just a normal flavor restaurant pasta. Tiramisu was moisture, which is great, but too sweet, it tastes like the one I bought from convenience store. The cappuccino even got an insect in it, only pizza was decent. These dishes cost about 1,600 dollars, but it feels like just worth for 600.

Great little Mexican restaurant here in Taipei. They have an outdoor seating area if the weather is nice. A little bar area to serve up some top self tequilas, cervezas and margaritas. A small indoor seating area with nice decors and several tables. I'm sure ambient is good at night with some music. Food was good, not heavy or salty. Generous portion of guac on the side for the chips. Corn tortillas chicken tacos for me and chicken taquitos for the wife, both were pretty good. Overall we enjoyed it and will have to come back for other dishes in the menu with some drinks next time.

I don't think this location specifically is on the Michelin guide, but you can get many of the same dishes. I've never been a huge fan of liver, but their braised liver was very good. Other dishes weren't particularly special. Prices are reasonable, and service was fast. Recommend making reservations as it's in a busy area.

Great high grade restaurant which combined Chinese style and modern decoration. There were many kinds of cuisine you can choose: Cantonese, Shanghainese and Taiwanese food. My favorite was scallion pancake, fried chicken, Sichuan boiled beef and boiled fish with pickled cabbage and chili. White fungus soup with lotus seeds and papaya panna cotta was awesome dessert. Decent atmosphere and nice service.

I came here with a friend as I wanted to check their vegan option. There was a long waiting line that can take up to 1 hour but we pass our time at the mall so we didn't really care. The restaurant is in traditional Chinese style, they have a clear vegan section on the menu that show all the options so it's very convenient. The service was lovely and the food was delicious. I took veggie dumplings and a bun filled with mushrooms and vegetables, both were good and went great with a bit of soy sauce and vinegar. One of my favorite dishes was the steamed spinach salad which was fresh and tasted great. Another dish I liked was a small pieces of tofu with soy beans soaked in a great sauce. For dessert, we took the rice cake filled with red beans that came warm and soft.

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Fujin. It is elevated Taiwanese food with a few dishes that I’ve never seen in other places. Flavors were right on and, though prices were higher than what you would pay for equivalent food in other places, portions were large. Service was polite and laid back. Also called me right away when I accidentally left my umbrella. Thank you! My favorite dish was the taro over fried pork. (5th picture)

I suggest you make a reservation and dine in. The menu is with English and Japanese. Generally I will give it a 4.5 stars, but the great service made it earn an extra 0.5 points. Highly recommend for the first bite of a typical Taiwanese meal. Personal recommend pork liver and it’s Taro rice noodle! Pork liver is well cooked with a nice sauce and no smelly flavor. The taro rice noodle is speechless. The taro made the soup so sweet and fresh! The taro is cooked until half melted which is the best condition in my opinion. The price is a bit higher than average restaurant. Credit card accepted.

Probably the worst food I’ve ever had from a michelin rated restaurant and I’ve been to a handful. While we didn’t get the Michelin Menu specifically, we did get the Pine Prix Fixe menu (they have multiple set-menu options) and it was terrible. I’ll be honest in that not everything was to my taste. Like, I just didn’t like the type of food. But there were things that I really enjoy (generally) as food, such as staples like lobster and steak. -The lobster was absolutely rubbery and chewy, which as we know is badly cooked lobster. It also had no flavor, even with a dipping sauce it was sitting in -The chicken in the chicken soup was dry, which I suppose means they over-boiled it -The baozi bun, for the pork knuckle was also dried out and not soft/moist Honestly, it was just a terrible time overall. Instead of feeling like the cadence went by too fast it felt like I couldn’t be done fast enough because the food was so bad. Maybe the Michelin rated menu, or a la carte was better but the Pine Prix Fixe menu was not. For just over $200USD/$6,000NTD a person, go somewhere else, anywhere else. P.S. The service and ambiance was amazing and the waiter was great. But the terrible food overshadowed it

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful French restaurant in Taipei, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The food was not only delicious but also incredibly creative, with each dish being a true work of art. The chef's attention to detail and use of fresh ingredients was evident in every bite. Additionally, the wine selection was impressive, and the staff was knowledgeable about pairing options to enhance our meal. The service was also top-notch, with the team being attentive and helpful throughout our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a truly memorable culinary experience in Taipei.

We brought visitors from out of town and they absolutely enjoy the food and environment of the restaurant. The only reason the service star is so low is because of one man, one person who I assume was the manager. Pros: - beautiful interior and decor. Really impressed our guests - beautiful dishes and layout from beginning yo end. We especially loved the foie gras on thé taro. - all the female staff were courteous and tried to explain each dish as much as possible. Also helped warned which plates were extremely hot. - great CP level of cost to quality of food. Extremely well priced and extremely delicious - Hidden dessert (soufflé) is a nice element, remember to pre-order this off menu secret! Cons: - the supposed tall man with glasses and white gloves, whom I assumed was the manager is terrible. Poor attitude, poor service. Has his nose up in the air as if he is too good for service. Barely explained the dishes in detail (huge contrast to other servers) and when he was taking away the big meat knives, he wasn’t even aware that he swung the sharp end so close to our faces. I watched in horror as it was very close to our guests faces. Even others at the table noticed. Would have had higher expectations for this so called manager. If you are unlucky to have him serve your table, best call on the others to help. - lobster noodle bisque was delicious but extremely heavy especially with the noodles. Unfortunately bc of this dish we could barely finish our entrees. Wish it had been less heavy despite the tastiness.

Had really high expectations and was pretty disappointed. This season’s menu felt too creative, and the actual execution was lacking. The food didn’t taste as great as I had hoped it would be some of the dishes didn’t seem well thought through or well executed. It seemed like they needed more practice because some of the dishes were too salty. I probably only liked 1-3 items. All the desserts were a little too savory in general. Service was alright - Nothing amazing, had to try to wave down a waiter a few times. The bathroom was very cool. It was nice to experience this type of atmosphere with all the wood. Glad I came still it was definitely an experience. Overall, I was not particularly impressed by the food. I would only recommend this place for very special occasions, but probably not for this season’s menu.

Came here for our wedding anniversary. Great food, atmosphere and service. The only complaint is the loud concertation carried over from the adjacent tables and the bar. That being said, the culinary event definitely exceeded our expectation after enjoying fine dining in many major cities in the US and Europe . Although we reserved it in the last minute, Longtail saved a romantic window table for us. For starters, we had the uni rice crisp, the shrimp sliders, and the quail lemongrass noodle. The uni crisp was artfully done, (my favorite) the umami of the uni was captured in a mousse form, playfully balanced with yuzu and shiso flavor. Main courses: hubby ad the pork chop and I had the grouper. Dessert: matcha French toast and espresso ice cream. All had a bit of some Asian flair in it but exquisitely done. Sparkling wine was excellent with just the right amount of acidity to go with my turmeric grouper. Amazing! Thanks for a great evening.

Everything was perfect on that night. Food was innovative and undoubtedly delicious. A great combination of western/ modern cooking techniques with touches of traditional/ locally sourced ingredients. I also ordered wine pairing with 4 glasses of wine. Every single one goes with the dish very well. A very good work from a talented sommelier. And or course staff was friendly and the service was meticulous. No wonder so many awards and recommendations, no one should miss it.

What a wonderful place to explore. The oriental landscaping aas just awesome. One could really learn a lot on how to make oriental gardens when you're at Zhishan Garden. There is a pond in the middle of the park with koi fishes among others. The sound of flowing water is just so relaxinh. There are halls and cottages where park goers can stay and relax. I think picnics are allowed in the park. Ideal for strolling and unwinding. It is perfect for photography and other visual activities like painting, drawing, film making. The park closes at 5pm.

A Gigantic World of Miniatures, Full of Wonders! Hey there, fellow adventurers! I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! If you're looking for a unique experience that will make you feel like a giant exploring a tiny world, this is the place to be. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported into a realm where the tiniest details hold the biggest surprises. The exhibits at this museum are nothing short of spectacular. You'll find historical replicas of rooms that will transport you back in time, allowing you to truly appreciate the craftsmanship of bygone eras. But it doesn't stop there! The museum also boasts 3D interpretations of famous art paintings, bringing them to life in a whole new dimension. It's like stepping into a living canvas! One of my favorite parts was exploring the enchanting portrayal of children's storybooks. It was like rediscovering beloved tales from my childhood, but in the most whimsical and magical way possible. The attention to detail in these miniature worlds is mind-boggling. You have to look closely to spot all the hidden treasures and tiny surprises tucked away in every nook and cranny. Overall, I can confidently say that my experience at the Miniatures Museum of Taiwan was a solid 5-star adventure. The exhibits are a testament to the creativity and dedication of the artists behind them. Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or just a curious soul looking for a one-of-a-kind experience, this museum will leave you in awe. So, gather your friends, put on your explorer hats, and make your way to this delightful museum. Prepare to be amazed, inspired, and maybe even feel a little like a kid again. The palace itself is magnificent but the walls and the status of important people does portraits the history of Taiwan 🇹🇼 It was definitely remarkable and I did spend sometimes as I watched changing guards at the gate and one at the inner palace which was quite a sight and worth it. You can reach this place by the bus (make sure to have a cash with exact change or else you won’t have any small change back to you, otherwise you should have rechargeable card which you use in the metro).

The National Palace Museum in Taiwan is a must-visit for all tourists in Taipei. The museum presents an amazing and comprehensive display of Chinese history and culture. However, visitors should be prepared for the extremely cold temperature inside the museum - bringing a small jumper or jacket is recommended. The staff at the National Palace Museum are super nice and helpful, and everything is presented in English, making it easy for non-Chinese speakers to understand and appreciate the exhibits. While audio tours are available, it's better to read the descriptions as the audio spots are limited even in the English language. The museum is also an excellent destination for families with children. There is an interactive children's book available at the entrance, and the museum has spots and activities all over for kids to learn and play. Many families with children have enjoyed the museum, thanks to its engaging and educational exhibits. Overall, the National Palace Museum is a great place to learn about Chinese history and culture, and it's an experience that shouldn't be missed.

On of the places in Taiwan never to be missed. Reminds me a little bit of China’s Beijing and such an iconic place to be in. Take as much pictures as you can and get access in most buildings free of charge. Change of guards ceremonies happen every hour by the hour so make sure not to miss that as it’s a performance you will never forget. Once done, try to visit the galleries in Level 1 to gain knowledge from Taiwan’s impressive history and the bravery of its people.
