Ambience and service were 5 star. My server was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. The ambience/decor/vibe was fabulous. The food on the other hand, left something to be desired. I ordered the steak, which was a generous portion, but doused in a syrupy reduction that was sweet and spicy, and IMO overpowered the meat. The meat was cooked rare, though I had asked for medium rare. The plate had nothing to complement the meat - a smidge of mashed potatoes or vegetable would have balanced out the plate. My appetizer - tuna tostado - and dessert - chocolate tart - were good.

Meroma is an exceptional spot in Roma Norte for an eclectic and unforgettable dining experience. Each dish is carefully crafted with a burst of flavors inspired by different parts of the world. The ceviche, in particular, stands out with its delectable mango addition, perfectly complementing the tropical flavors. Upstairs seating provides a serene and sunlit oasis that transports you away from the urban hustle and bustle, while outdoor seating allows you to enjoy the meal to the rhythm of the streets. Making a reservation or walking in during the afternoon is recommended for easier availability. Indulge in the cocoa pot de creme as a perfect way to wrap up your meal. Its delightful passion fruit caramel, cocoa crumble, and crumble topping provide a delectable sensation for your taste buds, without being overly sweet. It's truly a treat worth savoring.

WOW, such an amazing restaurant. This place is AMAZING, so pretty, so aesthetic, at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Mexico City. What wins at this restaurant is the drinks. One of the best cocktails I have tried here and very reasonably priced! I am shocked for the drinks to be adequately priced here and for the quality, this can't be beat. The food however is on the pricier side but still great! I ordered the shrimp tempura sushi and WOW. So good! The drinks still made my night, as well as the amazing view. The restrooms were especially so pretty and very aesthetic. However, the service was not the best though. We got a waiter that was very rude and was not in the mood to serve us. He was especially rude taking our order and very arrogant. The service did improve but first impressions are so important. I could rate it 5 stars but the service is what broke it. I feel it was a one off and I could see that the rest of the servers were more attentive. Such an amazing restaurant and the ambiance was on point, especially the views, the aesthetic of the place and the music. A must try in CDMX!

The beat salad is very flavorful and enough for a party of 6 ! The Peruvian Ceviche is refreshing taste of the sea. Don’t miss out on their flan tasting ! The ribeye steak was a good I was expecting more tender but still nice. Asparagus were nicely seasoned. Very nice atmosphere even tho I was placed in the back corner next to the bar . It would have been a nicer experience next to the window . I will return and I do recommend.

I love this restaurant, mexican flavors are excellent! Definitely order the chapulin starter. This last time we went I was a bit deceived, it’s a pity the octopus was not good. Dont take it, it first came cold and it decreased the overall experience, it was a bit chewy. Otherwise I would definitely recommend it!

Not sure this is a local favorite based on conversations during our travel, but myself and 10 friends really enjoyed the meal and overall experience. The location perfect, atmosphere very welcoming for a fine ding establishment, and the service was second to none. Very well orchestrated and we are our courses over roughly 4 hours. Each dish had different flavors and perfectly complemented the prior plate. They explained each dish and how to eat it, and recommend drinks to pair with our meals. Glad I got to go here on my life and would recommend it to anyone.

Across the street from Habita Hotel in Polanco, absolute gem of a place for either lunch or dinner. Amazing ambiance and service. Especially enjoyed the many dishes prepared table side. Menu in Spanish and English, with clearly marked dietary restrictions including a lovely vegetarian section for my wife. Fine dining perfect for a romantic date or business meeting. Expensive for the city but well worth the expense.

Contramar is worth the hype. We were worried we wouldn’t be able to get a seat due to its popularity, but we were seated right away with no reservation, even when it was busy. The tortilla chips and salsa for the table were some of the best I’ve had. Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves - fresh, delicious seafood!

A different experience. As I understand it, a restaurant is within a college or university where the students under the guidance of a master chef do the cooking. Food was good as well as service. Some genuine plates. The restaurant is in the center of Mexico city. A bit of traffic to get in and out. But once inside, the restaurant and area has a colonial feel to it. Relaxed feeling. Worth a visit. It also has a nice terrace. Price reasonable.

Charming venue, loved the plant decor and natural lighting on main floor. Food was very tasty, plates are on the smaller end but full of flavour. Not a lot of meat options. Service was good, however, I felt staff could have been more personable. Would be great if staff described dish and preparation when presenting it. After mains it took a long time to circle back for dessert and then bill. Congratulations on making it to the top 50 Rosetta!

The ambiance of the restaurant was truly captivating, and both the service and presentation were impressive. While I had high hopes for the food experience, some dishes didn't quite hit the mark for me. The soup stood out as a highlight, tasting wonderful. The guacamole was decent, but the main course, Chiles en Nogada, leaned towards the sweet side, which wasn't to my preference. I would have loved to sample more from their extensive menu, but being solo on this visit, I was somewhat limited in my choices.

Visited here towards the end of June and it was great! The servers were incredibly helpful and patient as we told them we were practicing our Spanish. We didn’t get the name of the first server but she was very kind and helpful. Then Israel helped us and taught us a few more Spanish words/ phrases. Much thanks to the staff!! We ordered a variety of items including the beet salad, tacos Al pastor, and the National Wagyu. It was all delicious and probably my favorite Al pastor tacos of our trip. We were able to walk in without reservations and be seated right away. The restaurant is beautiful (plus the music wasn’t really loud like a lot of places are doing now). Plus we bought some chocolate from their store in front of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

It is a fine dining place with a tasting menu. The gastronomical experience was spread over nine courses and the desserts service. The food quantity was good however some of the courses could have been better. The service was impeccable and the server explained each course well. Since I am not a big fan of oxtail, the kitchen changed the course to lamb and chicken. Even though the dish was not the best, I appreciated the willingness of the chef to make the last minute change for me. The desserts were nice. Overall, a one time visit restaurant for the experience. I will not come back again.

Very beautiful view. I also recommend staying for the entire mass. WARNING: if you go to the mercado to get food go in a group there’s a restaurant that will basically surround you a pressure you into their food when there is much cleaner and better options behind them. There’s much better food out of the basilica to but just don’t go to that group.

I only recommend this place for the experience and architecture BUT NOT for the food. Service 3/5 Food 2/5 Price 3/5 I really appreciate the architecture of this place it's really unique and really old compared to the buildings around. When it comes to the food it's pretty bland, unless of course you like a ton of cheese. We ordered e the Chile en nogada which is season typical dish during the month of September. Of course prises are going to be a lot more expensive here than places far from the city center but the Chile itself was cold both the pepper and the stuffing. I know for a fact that the sauce that goes on top of it is cold but the rest was really bad cause it was cold ❄️. They don't have many coffee options and they were cold as well even when you ask for hot one. The enchiladas were just soggy tortillas with really dry chicken inside and a ton of cheese. And their juices are sitting on a card with no cover, right by the aisle where everyone walks by. Our food took more than 45 minutes to be served, don't know why because the restaurant was pretty empty and they do have a lot of staff. Overall I would say go just for an americano coffee and enjoy the view.

An extraordinary museum, a must visit if you’re in CDMX. The architecture is beautiful, you’ll want to take pictures in every floor. I payed a little fee to take pictures so I didn’t feel any guards chasing me as I read on another review. The expositions were about mexican culture without showing much about colonists as the exhibit in Chapultepec castle. You need at least 3 hours to visit it entirely.

This museum has free entry to the public. The architecture of the building itself is a must see. The white interior adds so much character. The walls and ceiling are white from floor to floor. As we came in, we were directed to a section where we were to check in our bags and water bottles. This first floor is a large open space area with a few large exhibits that caught the attention of the visitors. There is also a souvenir shop in this same floor. We walked up from floor to floor through a spiraled walkway ramp situated around the perimeter of the structure. In the center, at each floor, we found so many collections ranging from coins to artwork to sculptures.

Amazing! This museum has so many displays. We were here for three hours and did not get to see the entire museum. It is so large, beautiful and clean with much history. There is no need to pre purchase your tickets or to even have to hire a tour guide to take you here. It sits on the Chapultepec park. We took an Uber there and it dropped us off right next to the entrance. We just went up a short flight of stairs after turning the corner. We purchased the tickets upon arrival. We had to check in our umbrella bags and water bottles. Then we proceeded to explore the museum.

I had a wonderful afternoon here looking at the Diego Rivera murals so craftily displaying the history of Mexico from Pre-Colombian times. Our guide, Angelica, was one of the best guides I’ve ever had. She knew everything, answered every question with patience, kept a great pace, was lovely, intelligent, and interesting. The murals themselves are among the best works of art in the entire world, in my opinion. This place should not be missed. Logistically, make sure to make a reservation in advance, they only allow people in in groups of 15 on guided tours a few times a day. I got lucky and somehow got in on a cancellation on a Spanish speaking tour but the English ones were all full. My only criticism is that they don’t allow videos at all. Not even with iPhone. I would love to go back and make some nice videos of these stunning murals to share with others who may never make it here. Maybe they can offer a video tour for a fee? I wouldn’t mind paying it. Anyway, don’t miss this place!!!

The Spanish intentionally destroyed the Aztec (Mexica) capital of Tenochtitlan by building what is now Mexico City on top of it. Hence the ruins here are fairly minimal compared to some of the other archaeological sites in Mexico and neighbouring countries, and require quite a lot of imagination as only a tiny proportion of a once huge complex has been excavated. Still, what there is gives some sense of the scale and how things developed, and even if there are no complete pyramids or buildings left to see, the real highlight is the museum. This contains some stunning finds from the site which are thoughtfully presented, with plenty of context and history. All the major labels and boards are translated into English; although a few pieces are in Spanish only, this won’t affect the experience for those who don’t speak the language. Allow plenty of time - we spent well over two hours here - and beware of stepping across lines or using the wrong door to avoid the army of whistle-blowing police officers!

This place was grand yet welcoming. The location is very easily accessed and staff were incredibly helpful (even though we required someone to speak to us in English). At the time of visiting they had two main displays ongoing which were projections in a dark room telling the tale of the establishment of Mexico City and then multiple murals all over the walls inside the building. The location was clean and accessible and on the day of visiting it was free to do so. We were able to join onto an English tour which walked us through the whole building and explained all the murals as well as giving us time to just sit and appreciate the art before us. I’d highly recommend a visit here, it could be as quick as 20 minutes or you could sit and stare for hours. It might be a little lacking in excitement for kids though. You can not take any drinks into the facility and we were made to finish ours and dispose of our bottles upon entering.
