Mother's Day at the Palms was spectacular! GREAT variety of steaks and seafood! We started with the seafood tower. The general manager and the floor manager greeted us, and the staff were attentive and professional. Daniel was our waiter, and he was very informative about the menu and provided excellent service. A treat for those who enjoy listening to vintage music with matching atmosphere. The affogato dessert was the best!!

I’m providing a blended score of 3 based on food and service The food brought the score up to a 3 as the service would have probably stalled this review at about a 1 Let’s start with the bad so we can end on a positive note Our waitress was one of the most passive aggressive servers I’ve ever encountered and mind you I do food reviews on a regular basis. One member of our party ordered French toast which came with roasted potatoes. She also asked for a side of hash browns. Server responds your food already comes with potatoes My friend responds she’s aware but would like hash browns as well. Server responds You’re going to eat all of that food because that’s a lot of food for one person to eat Entire table just stared at her I then ask if they have coffee and if they’re able to make a caramel latte Server answers No I ask no to which part She responds again no At this point it’s too early and I’m too tired and haven’t had caffeine so I wave over another server and he and I discuss my latte options One of the girls stated she forgot something in our room and the new server states he can call someone to bring our items down. Old server seems confused and our new server explains we’re in one of the top suites (added perk for me traveling so much and doing reviews) and it’s one of the nicest suites there Now our old server is Miss Hospitality as she feels we now have money Needless to say a caramel latte can all of a sudden be hand crafted and one appears As the chefs have nothing to do with service I will say I had 0 complaints about the food. The food came out relatively quickly and everything was cooked to perfection. The chicken and waffles was a fan favorite for the table. The chicken looks like chicken nuggets and we’re bursting with flavor. Dipped into whatever creamy sauce they created and it was pure bliss. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which arrived on super soft brioche bread and the bacon was deliciously crispy. I also got Tater tots and found myself doing a happy dance which sipping my latte. 0 complaints on food Service needs some work Perhaps don’t judge what people are ordering Offer options if something is not available And treat everyone the same regardless of perceived wealth or not That human standard goes a long way when it comes to service

Excellent service and amazing view of LA. I got the ribeye and the mac and cheese as a side. Ribeye was good but pricey. Mac and cheese was awesome, especially with the added touch of bacon on top. I'm not sure I would run back for the ribeye as I have had better for much less at other places. I would like to try it again for other menu items.

I’ve driven by this spot numerous times and I’ve heard nothing but great things about this restaurant. The starter breads were good, the brown & garlic breads were my favorite. The Nueske’s cherrywood smoked bacon with Korean Bbq sauce was delicious and an excellent appetizer. The dozen oysters were also delicious, fresh tasting but surprised there was no shredded horseradish. The calamari was perfectly cooked and seasoned with outstanding flavor. The clam chowder I thought was about average. The pan seared sea bass with shiitake mushrooms asparagus and miso butter was cooked perfectly. It was delicious and very tender. The Brussels sprouts with bacon pieces was also declining and a great appetizer along with the creamed corn with bacon pieces. We ordered the Dry age porter house 36 days and it fed four grown large men. Perfectly seasoned, aged just right and it was delicious, but it was served to us at room temperature. It was quickly resolved and reheated to ensure it was correctly served. I highly recommend this cut and it was a phenomenal steak. We were able to get most of the current desserts(capital grille cheesecake was delicious and solid selection. The flourless chocolate espresso cake was good and average. The crème brûlée was solid and the layer of caramel on top is very thin which made it an excellent dessert for me. The coconut cream pie with side of vanilla ice cream was probably my favorite out of all the desserts. To finish it off the latte they had was very flavorful and the just the right temperature. Solid customer service overall by our server Erik, Dorah also did a great job with tending to our table messes, thanks to Patrick for resolving our issue with our steak earlier on. Overall it was an excellent dining experience and I highly recommend this spot. The bar area also looks like a great spot but I don’t recall tv’s for sporting events. Just be aware, parking is limited to across the street or valet when it’s available. I would say this is probably the best steakhouse I’ve been to in DTLA so far. Also on a side note, one of my friends hates the Stan Lee painting because he felt it was staring at him during our whole meal. For me, as a Marvel fan, I love Stan Lee and it’s an excellent painting.

We got to sit at the chef’s counter so it was nice seeing everything happen in action. They gave more dishes than they listed out and I was stuffed! It's one of the best places to visit I LA hands down. Service was quick and gave excellent recommendations. Kid friendly menu and everything was delicious. The drink choices were unlimited, and everything was cooked for perfection. Our favorite course was the bone marrow. It was a great start to a wonderful dining experience. The pork was well seasoned and piping hot. The pizza was seasoned just right with a great amount of sauce. They also had refillable drink options, but not many.

I believe that peak performances are carefully detailed and meticulous. The food here is always superb and part of the reason I come back over and over. Every dish is made to perfection and although the portions are small they each have their own story to tell - the experience by taste alone is wonderful from start to finish. Where Drago has consistently missed the mark for me is their service. I have given them the benefit of the doubt because I have dined here with big office tables, dinner dates and even family outings. The most recent experience felt that, from the very start, we were a table that was not a high ticket (6+ guests) and therefore was not treated as such. To the untrained eye it may have seemed like I didn't recognize the lower level of client service. However, it is clear to me, as someone who wants to create memorable experiences for my own clients, that I may not trust Drago with a complete wow client experience. A very honest personal opinion. Hats off to the chefs here!

A great dinning experience where the food keeps coming and you just want more! We found this place when we were traveling and thankfully we found it. The atmosphere is a casual sit down and the menu is reasonably priced while extensive. They brought out bread which was delicious and we ordered wine and a drink to start off with. We moved onto the first entrees of pasta and meat dishes. We also ordered desert and desert wine. Delicious for each and every bite! Their prices were cheaper then some other places we’ve been. The service was amazing, attentive and had plenty of recommendations thru out the evening. Highly recommend that you check this place out. It’s almost a hidden spot since its hidden between a few food places. They also offer pasta classes if you are into that!

My wife and I went here for our third anniversary this past weekend. From the beginning, it was a magical experience we had the honor of sitting at the chef's table and watching a bustling kitchen of focused, motivated chefs and sous-chefs prepare food until almost midnight. There are so many members that waited on us and insured that we were smiling during the entire dinner. The 8-course meal was exquisite although at least two or three other items were served. Definitely appreciate the option for a non-seafood item as part of the entree, but everything from the sashimi, oysters, lobster, to the duck, wagyu beef, and the mango dessert were succulent. Probably the best of wine I've had with any dinner as well. We wish we could have spent more at Providence. Please be prepared to spend at least two and a half hours to truly enjoy experience here.

This experience was a little bit of a disappointment 😞. For the prices and the hype! Overall, we grade it a 7. We were told great things about this LA roof top restaurant. The service was top notch. Our food was just okay. The Pei Mussels were small and the broth wasn't well seasoned. The truffle fries were cold and hard so we traded for Brussel sprouts ( which were very good). The SEA BASS was very interesting. It was Great presentation but not very tasty or grilled well. The Risotto and veggies were good with this dish..

This place is really great. The food is phenomenally good. The vibe is great and the service is good. The food is so good. To start, we ordered the Portuguese shrimp. This dish alone makes the visit worth it. The shrimp is so good along with the sauce, just chefs kiss. We also ordered a filet toast with a bunch of stuff. The presentation is pretty neat and while it tastes really good, I don't think it matches the overall experience. It's sweet and savory, like a dessert and it didn't work for me. We ordered ribeyes and filets and they were cooked right and tasted amazing. The vibe is very nice. It's a pretty romantic, intimate place but it also feels like a place to chill like really relax. Highly recommend visiting.

Excellent excellent quality. The chefs know what they’re doing. Each dish was complex yet well-balanced in flavor with great presentation. Both service and atmosphere were wonderful as well. Would definitely take friends and family here. The building interior is beautiful. Came here on a Thursday in mid June and was able to find street parking. Heard parking behind the building was $10. And valet is $15. $95 a person for a three-course meal. Window seating is walk-in only. Some people waited at the bar for an hour for a spot to open up.

Whether you like the art or not it's clearly a beautiful space, well laid out, plenty of room for exhibits of all sizes, from intimate to enveloping. The staff are diligent in their commitment to keeping the art safe and secure but still allow for curious people to respectfully approach various works close up to admire the details of technique and materials used. I personally love the collection as an introduction to contemporary art for anyone interested in the "broader" themes (intended) of the modern art world. Not every piece is to my taste but the cultural importance of the collections is undeniable.

I will for sure return to this place and try them all out. We decided to follow the paved trail all the way down and then take a pretty steep trail back up. It was wide enough to stop and take breaks so others could walk around. The views were so beautiful and it was a great workout, got my blood pumping. Many dogs off leash, all well trained. Recommend booking in advance. Great learning experience! Lot's to see and do and enjoyed that you could see actual pits! It was awesome to see both scientists and paleontologists in action. I don't really understand the indoor garden, but it was peaceful to walk through. The skeletons were interesting to read about, but I would have liked to known where and when they were found. I also didn't see a lot of information on the marine life. The excavation tour was interesting, though I was crushed to find the dramatic looking lake pit was just dirty water and asphalt and not gooey tar 😂 The Observation Pit is closed, but I'd definitely want to explore if it ever reopens.

Pros: - Free admission: The Getty is free to enter and you can enjoy art from various eras and regions. - Beautiful view: The Getty is located on the Santa Monica Mountains and offers a stunning view of LA. The garden and fountains are also very peaceful and beautiful. - Various exhibition halls: The Getty has four main exhibition halls and a gift shop. Paintings, sculptures, photographs, etc. from Europe and the United States from the Middle Ages to the present are on display. Cons: - Parking fee: The Getty is free to enter, but the parking fee is $20. If you visit the Getty Villa on the same day, you only need to pay the parking fee once. - Weather and shade: The Getty is located on the Santa Monica Mountains and can be very hot in summer with little shade. You should bring or rent an umbrella to block UV rays. - Food and drink: The Getty has restaurants and cafes, but they are expensive and not very tasty. It’s better to bring your own food for a picnic. However, alcoholic beverages are prohibited. See the Getty's collection of European and American art from the Middle Ages to the present against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views from downtown L.A. to the sea. We had a very good time today at the zoo. Though there were not that many animals, we really enjoyed the atmosphere there. I can just come here every weekend just to walk around, see some animals and enjoy the greens. The highlight of our visit today was getting to feed a giraffe ($5 / person - three romaine lettuce leaves). Besides these beautiful animals, they have a carousel inside the park, face-painting and a very nice playground/picnic area. Also, there are food/snack stalls everywhere throughout the park if you want a quick bite but it is pretty expensive. Packing food and drink from home is recommended.

The iconic Hollywood sign is a must visit for tourists. It is, however, located on a mountain surrounded by a large residential community, most of whom have no patience, with tourists wandering around their property trying to find their way up or vacant parking spots, and I don't blame them since privacy needs to be respected. Best option is to park at the Hollywood Sign Viewpoint next to Lake Hollywood Park (Google it, and parking is free) and if you'd like to get closer to the sign, take a hike up via Mt. Lee Dr. and Hollywood Sign Vista, which has a trail leading up to the sign for those looking for a bit more adventure.

Exciting walk with kids that brings back memories. I took my two kids 14 and 5 here during the day on a weekday, it was easy and they we all enjoyed it. Recommend for: everyone Pros: free, safe crosswalks, safe feeling during the day, lots of restaurants and activities. Cons: parking is challenging, restrooms are limited (many places do not have public restrooms) so plan ahead. I wasn’t that excited about this but felt I had to give it a try. First off everyone is looking down reading stars and we only bumped into two people. Everyone was super nice about that and people were respectful about taking photos with star giving others time for photos. Their were lots of tour companies offering bus or van tours of the area sights for around $20. And their were a few street performers around, not too many since it was mid day on a week day. Walking down the street was a walk down memory lane. I saw a lot of naked I have not seen in years. The sidewalk is flat and in good shape. If you are disabled most of the street crossing are ramped and have audio and visual indicators.

From the moment we approached the iconic building perched atop the Griffith Park hills, we were captivated by its grandeur. The architecture itself is a masterpiece, evoking a sense of timeless elegance that made us feel like we had stepped into a scene from a classic Hollywood movie. The highlight of our visit was, without a doubt, the awe-inspiring view of the cityscape and the glittering night sky from the observatory's terrace. As the sun set on the horizon, the city lights began to twinkle like stars below us, creating a surreal ambiance. It was a surreal feeling that transported us right into the iconic scene from the Terminator movie, where the observatory played a pivotal role in the plot. In conclusion, our visit to the Griffith Observatory was an unforgettable experience that left us feeling inspired and enlightened. The blend of science, history, and breathtaking views was truly exceptional, and we can't wait to return

Be prepared to walk! .. Plenty of parking spaces at the Ovation Hollywood Mall, and if you happen to purchase anything from the mall, even if it's a coffee from one of the cafés, get your parking ticket validated to get a couple of hours of parking for 3 bucks! That'll be plenty to walk around the block, view the path, buy some souvenirs, and even see some street performers. Overall, it is a good place to visit during your stay in LA.
