Lisbon is the capital and largest city of Portugal. It is known for its iconic architecture, lively nightlife, delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture. The city is set on the banks of the Tagus River estuary, and it is home to centuries-old churches, historical monuments, and many museums. There are plenty of attractions to explore in Lisbon including the Jeronimos Monastery, Castle of Sao Jorge, Belem Tower, Elevador de Santa Justa, and Rossio Square. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy walking along the scenic waterfront or exploring one of several nearby beaches

Hidden gem next to our hotel! What a lovely place... Friendly staff who were very helpful, chill atmosphere and fantastic food! The chef knows how to create flavour sensations! And all of this for a reasonable price. We especially recommend the prawns đ€©

We had a terrific dining experience at à Um. This restaurant serves delicious and creative recipes. We ordered three separate items plus cold soup, appropriate for the hot summer, and dessert, all of which triggered a "wow" response. As a fan of Açorda de Camarão (sort of rissoto but bread being the main starch) we were especially impressed by the fact that it was cooked in seasoned tomato not the usual seafood broth. On top of serving superb meal we left feeling encouraged by the restaurant's mission in retraining locals who face socioeconomic hardship.

Wonderful restaurant in a lovely location. The restaurant is modern and comfortable. We had a French starter to share and mains of tenderloin and a burger. Excellent wine list, we chose the red from Lisbon. Little extra touches after dinner were served which was lovely. Highly recommend and the chef waved us good night. Truly a wonderful experience in Lisbon.

A posh place near the alternative 'Graffiti' neighbourhood with great food and wine - and accordingly high prices. We came for good food and also found white table cloth and an almost overdetermined waiter who gave many directions or advices (rather than recommendations) - and it all worked out fine in the end. My Rabbit was very tasty (slightly overspiced) and the octopus was absolutely amazing. The wine turned out perfect for the food and the dessert was a real highlight - we took a total of 3 desserts with 2 people. I have to say, though, that you can find this quality of food - just without the elegant decoration - at substantial lower prices; so this is the conscious decision you can take when coming here.

Great little place with very friendly staff. Recommended dishes and house wine, which were all delicious. So much so we had to come back for the baby squid again the following day! Highly recommend the baby squid in its own ink and the cheesecake. But everything was delicious!

It was a restaurant where you can feel the Portuguese tradition in the interior decoration and the attire of the servers. The food was served with a waiter bringing a pot cooked in the kitchen and putting it on a plate in front of the table. Had traditional pork, clams and fried prawns, I can't judge how well they kept the Portuguese tradition, the clams were very good but the other two were average. Coffee was the best in 6 weeks in Portugal

The service was quite fast and the staff was very friendly. I was truly astounded by the food. It is clear that all the ingredients are prime high quality, the seafood is super fresh and everything is cooked with genuine love. I especially enjoyed the octopus tentacles: it was very tender, it could almost melt in your mouth but still had great texture. The seafood stew was also great: super fresh and the soup itself was incredible, I couldnât stop dipping bread in it to keep enjoying it. If you like seafood, this is the place to go.

So happy to get a place to this place. You really have to go at around 5.15pm if you want the first sitting at 6pm or be put on a list for the same night. We had bread and olives to start, scallops, swordfish, eggplant, pork ribs and pineapple dessert. Everything was delicious. Totally worth the wait to get in (45mins wait from 5.15pm). They were patient to explain every dish and recommended the white and red wine to go with our dinner.

Visited with my friend during our trip to Lisbon. Service was great, friendly and attentive waiter. Reasonable wait time for food and drink. Food was tasty, I didn't expect my dish (octopus and shrimp rice) to be soupy - I thought it'd be closer to fried rice. However it was pleasant enough! My friend liked the duck and the cocktails were great!

What an Amazing stylish high class restaurant and bar in Lisbon!!â€ïžThis semi fine dining experience is located in a multilevel fashion store!! We came for lunch, but I would definitely recommend booking a reservation if you want to dine here. They require a credit card for booking, which my friends were not pleased about!! But I guess with this level of ambiance and fine dining a lot of popular stylish restaurants in the world request that. We stopped by for lunch and luckily we were seated in a cold air conditioned huge bar area!! The staff was very professional and neat! We ordered burrata, shrimp prawn curry, and sea bass!! All was super Amazing!! Five stars for the chefs and team!! Absolutely recommendedđčđč

Just the most wonderful experience. We were lucky enough that there was space as they only have 2 tables. A table for 2 and a table for 4. Itâs a delightful couple that make their own food, creatively as they donât have the benefit of an exhaust fan (at least at the time of writing this). The menu is very home feeling and everything sounds pretty good. We had the charcuterie board and it was really nice and came with 5 sauces. Also had a bottle of the green wine which was very lightly sparkled and fresh! I didnât catch their names unfortunately but they were super friendly and the whole time we were there felt very much like we were at home in their kitchen. Definitely worth a visit and Iâd probably recommend calling or messaging in advance since itâs limited seating! Enjoy!

This place was recommended by a tv show we watched, we had a very high expectation. Over all the food was good and well thought out. The squid was delicious, the sweet potato dish that was recommended by the waiter was also good . The sardines were made in 2 ways for us , a vegetarian version and a regular version. It was yummy. The only dish I didnât like was the hazelnut , mushrooms celery root dish , that was very salty and not that good.

I was a bit disappointed with the Sangria but it was still good and Iâm sure itâs nothing and they can make a great one. I love doing drinks myself. The portions are really big, no way youâll be hungry after a meal in this restaurant. Very busy as well so you need to book in advance and make sure you only arrive 5min late max. If anyone deserves a Michelin star it's this place. What a delight, moment after moment. Amazing fish cooking, perfectly attentive staff, no apparent bustle just straightforward excellence. So many highlights. Probably the best gluten free bread I have ever had, for example, with different small batch butters and olive oils. The garden was like a garden. The sea urchin and beetroot sauce was wild. The best hamachi I have ever had. The list goes on. They have champagne made only for them. Outstanding.

The service here was beyond our expectations. Our server, Juao, was so kind and informative. The dishes were extremely innovative and the presentation was phenomenal. Every dish was delicious. The museum is so much better than I expected. Honestly, it's a must in Lisbon (for antique art of course). I would say it's very big - 4 floors with expositions, garden and an additional section (extremely beautiful as well) - and the art is as expected. Great selection, mainly religious but not exclusively, and most importantly, the very famous painting of Bosch. It was a nice experience and you'll probably be able to do the whole museum in 2-3 hours.

Well worth it if it's your sort of thing. Quite expansive, with lots of areas, structured around different time periods, going up to the relatively modern. The space itself is beautiful. We had entrance separately with the Lisbon card, and the combined ticket with the Pantheon, which allowed us to skip the main queue (which wasn't particularly long) but it'd be good value for money even with the âŹ5 entrance fee

I arrived at this place by pure luck. I love walking around the cities I visit to discover things by myself. And while walking around beautiful Lisbon I bumped into this magnificent building. I went in and they asked me if I wanted to visit inside. The building reminded me of the Pantheon in Paris which I love so I decided to buy the ticket and come inside. The first thing that caught my eye was a photographic exhibition of people of determination ( or Special Needs people as they're called in Europe). I was touched by the images and the content.. After I walked around in the ground floor and saw some of the tombs of Presidents and famous Portuguese Writers and Explorers I decided to go up the stairs. I ended up in the most fantastic Miradour in the whole of Lisbonne. 360 degrees of sheer beauty. The whole of the city right under your eyes. I was so happy to be there I sat down facing the glorious morning sun and stayed there for 2 hours. There was hardly anyone there The next day I brought my son along and he was delighted with the place and took beautiful photos. We both absolutely loved this place. Worth a visit a 100%.. I would go back there any time.

For a free museum under the Lisbon card - itâs decent. But itâs basic. I felt that there should have a lot more content considering itâs the story of the city. Most city museums are much more content heavy and interactive. This is pretty basic with a lot of listening then looking. Audio guide was nice as itâs geo location without you pressing the zone.

The Cathedral of Saint Mary Major is Lisbon's oldest church. Built in 1147 it is a religious and historic icon and landmark. It has been renovated and restored and survived many natural disasters over the centuries. Hence the architectural style is mixed which is evident inside and out. The interior is beautiful as a combination of decor, statues and fittings has combined to form it's unique bearing. Worth checking out if you are Lisbon and a history religious buff.

I never post reviews of monuments, but this time I have to do it. The ticket is 6⏠and I waited in the line about 20 minutes before entering. The safety condition is not at all satisfactory. The spiral staircase is quite steep and narrow, all the stone around you is greasy because of people touching it, and there is not even a handrail. If you happen to slip, there is nothing around you to hang on and you can severely hurt yourself and others. The tower itself is very evocative from the outside, truly a beautiful view. However when you get inside you see absolutely nothing. On the ground floor you see just a few cannons. The first floor is the best, as you are just next to the crenellations of the tower and have a view of the inner part. On the other two floors the only thing you do is look outside the window. There is nothing written, you donât get to read anything about the history of the place. There is absolutely nothing to do, nothing to see. The rooms are completely empty, not even a box with jewels, clothing or the usual things you can find in these sites. Itâs really sad: they could make it more interesting by adding small things but it feels like no one cares about it.
