Excellent, nice atmosphere, retro French decor, quiet with jazz music playing softly in the background. The welcome was warm and engaging. The waitress is knowledgeable about the dishes and flavours, she can be a little pushy at times but I think she is so enthusiastic, even has photos of the dishes on her phone to help explain. There is a small selection of nice wines. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and presentation of each dish, they're all mouth watering. I tried to pay using my Samsung Pay app for my Visa and it wouldn't accept, confounding myself and the staff, which was a little irritating. So have some cash available. I will go back again each time I visit Chiang Mai. also looking forward to trying owner/chef's latest dining experience E E by La Fourchette about 40km north of Chiang Mai.

This place was sooo cute! There is an indoor AC area as well as an outdoor area with lots of shade and greenery. I ordered the french toast and rose tea and my friend ordered the smoothie bowl and they were all amazing. The meal was quite filling and definitely worth the prices. The rose tea was sweet and refreshing and the mangoes were some of the sweetest I've had. The waiter was extremely kind and attentive and was very open to feedback. Would definitely come recommend :)

A MUST VISIT IN CHIANG MAI! Me and my friend stumbled across this gorgeous restaurant on our way back after the Grand Canyon waterpark. We were greeted so nicely by the manager who told us we could sit anywhere so we headed into the garden area which is so pretty with fairy lights. The staff were so friendly! We enjoyed some cocktails and shared some appetisers too. The mains were so tasty and we both agreed it was the best meal that we have had in Thailand so far! The prices are very reasonable especially for big portions of top quality food and for an amazing service. The owner is doing a brilliant job and you can tell that he really cares about his staff, customers and quality of the restaurant. They offer gorgeous Thai cuisine but also a selection of classic western meals incase you want a Thai break ;) If I could give a higher rating I would. Don’t miss out this place!

It’s better to arrive earlier than the usual dining time, otherwise, i’ve seen some customers at other tables complaining about the service speed (for peak time the waiting time might take more than 30 mins). We visited this place two times because they offer wide variety of Thai food. We love Pad Thai, stir-fried morning glory, and coconut curry with shrimp. If you like dessert, mango sticky rice would be a good try.

We had an amazing meal at The Vorra Bistro Old Town! We ordered a Mushroom Risotto (vegan) and Pasta Pesto with scallops, both were incredible! The best Italian style meal we have had during our time in Thailand! If you like a high quality meal, definitely come here! Last but not least, dessert! The chocolate lava cake and fruit sabayon were both really tasty!

Highly recommend. The staff here are efficient and really friendly, you don't have to wait as they are quick to notice empty glasses, etc. They don't hover so you don't feel rushed. We sat out front which was nice as well. The food was great. We had cheese plates, two salads as appetizers then full meals. 2 people had the homemade pasta as well as the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon. Dessert was Creme Brulee and the Colonel. Everything was perfectly cooked, nice flavor and very good portions. The price is affordable considering the quality of food and the service.

The Riverside was recommended by the concierge at our hotel, so we asked her to make a reservation. We are glad we did because we had a table reserved right on the water. The menu is extensive, but everything we had was high quality and tasted delicious. We particularly enjoyed the whole fried fish served with northern Thai sauces and vegetables. The papaya salad was also very fresh and spicy. The live music really added to the atmosphere, but it started an hour later than we expected. The service was good, but not very personal, with a rotating set of servers who were all polite but not all very warm. A great recommendation for a good vibes right on the river.

The setting is romantic, there is plentiful seating inside and outside, the food arrives quickly, but the food lacks heat. The dishes are flavourful but there were no chilis. We didn’t understand why each dish was so mild but we later read one other review that said this restaurant caters to tourists and therefore you will need to specifically request for your dishes to be spicier. We were underwhelmed by the food because of this and would likely have rated this restaurant 5 stars otherwise.

Disappointed with the food here. Decor is pleasant, and the staff friendly and helpful. We ordered red curry, glass noodles with egg, and vegetable fried rice. The red curry lacked flavour - it was like there wasn't enough red curry paste in the dish, it also lacked spice. We asked for medium spicy, and the red curry tasted zero spicy. It was thin and lacked flavour and seasoning. The glass noodle with egg tasted fine, but lacked seasoning - it desperately needed the salty, sour, spicy, sweet taste of Thai foods. The fried rice also lacked seasoning. Bland food that needed a lift. Generous serves reflect the cost of the food. The lack of flavour and seasoning does not encourage me to eat here again.

Date visited: 10 June 2023 Entry fee is about 100 baht. Cash only. The museum offers an interesting introduction to Lanna culture, art and history and will help you better appreciate the art and architecture of Chiang Mai and its region. The exhibits are very well presented with interesting objects (textiles in particular were my favourite) and clear and concise information both in Thai and English. This is a far more interesting and nicer museum than the neighbouring Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Centre. If you are in the area, I recommend making a visit. You’ll be pleasantly surprised and it will be a nice moment away from the heat!

Actually, this point of route is the starting point to reach Buddhist monk’s temple. The old photo of a building did not exist at this point. You will need to walk around 1 hour for slow walker to see the building. We looked at the photo in the Google map. We thought it exists there. There is no food shop or other things through the trail. You must bring your food. It is a great and stunning nature throughout the route.

If you have to choose for some reason between the Sunday Market and the Saturday Market, I'd absolutely suggest the Saturday market. It is extremely well organized. There's a general straight path you can take from one end to another with various food courts along the way. Smoking and drinking is not allowed, so the atmosphere is nice. There are a lot of unique stalls here with different items. For sure you'll see a few repeats here and there but mostly it's occupied by sellers selling unique items. There are a lot of food stalls as well so you can try various different foods. Overall a great experience.

Probably THE best temple I’ve ever visited in Thailand. We went there a bit late and many monks were praying loudly, giving an original atmosphere to the place. The diverse constructions are very beautiful, and the viewpoint is breathtaking. It was definitely worth the hundreds of steps to reach the place ! Entry fee is 30 bahts, not expensive compared to some other temples.

A very large collection of insects but you can also see there, shells, stones and fossils. You can feel a love for nature and the aim to pass a message of respect for nature (of which we are only a part of) which is nice. The high entrance price (500 baht for a family) could perhaps in this way be justified so this collection can continue to be looked after. However such a large collection could really benefit from a larger space, better lighting and overall a much more organized structure. Please also note that the museum may seem closed but that ringing on the door is required. Photos are allowed but no video and that there is no climatisation.

The Huay Kaew Arboretum is a must-visit if you're in Chiang Mai! This sprawling public park features an impressive collection of tropical and subtropical trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, as well as several cultural and educational attractions. One of the highlights of the park is the pavilion, which provides a perfect spot to relax and chat with friends while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, there is a cafe located inside the arboretum where you can grab a refreshment or a quick bite to eat. For those who want to get active, the outdoor gym is a great place to work up a sweat while enjoying the fresh air and scenic views. The park also has several picnic areas and playgrounds, making it an ideal destination for families with kids. Overall, the Huay Kaew Arboretum is a fantastic place to spend a few hours in nature. As it is near Christmas, they also had decorations on offer. A worthy souvenir from a fab place - something to keep.

We had a great time with our kids (3 and 5 yrs old). Went for the night safari, came to the zoo at around 6:30pm, went straight to the Night animals show, than tiger show and at the end took the 8:30 safari ride. We saw all the animals, our son was lucky to pet a giraffe. Animals look healthy and their enclosures are spacious and the whole place just has a ‘feels good vibe’. The staff is friendly and helpful. Price seems fair. You can get really good snack around (we had buns filled with various treats), the whole place is clean, well kept, nice atmosphere… Clean toilets near by each of the strategic sites places. Overall I can only recommend. We will try to come again during the day as there is more to see then. TIP: if you are getting there by Bolt (or similar way of transportation) for the night safari, make sure to book a ride back in advance. There are no cars available in the evening. We were lucky our driver told us and picked us up at 9:30 as agreed. I looked and Bolt put of curiosity and really, no availability at all.

While Chiang Mai is the city of Temples (and the U-Turn), this temple is iconic due to its location in the old city and the number of self-esteem taken here. On a serious note, it is iconic Buddhist temple well worth the visit. The main assembly temple is currently being renovated with no access, still a magical place to see.
