La Zisa was amazing. We went for our 13th wedding anniversary which happens to be Valentines Day. I hate that I forgot my waiters name, but he was awesome. He was young and didn’t mind our indecisiveness. The food and wine was amazing!

My family and I recently visited Cairo and our Kempinski Hotel at the Nile recommended the Four Seasons authentic Egyptian buffet. We were NOT disappointed. The Hotel itself is very modern and very carefully thought of when it came to the decor. Absolutely stunning! Back to the food, amazing and a great variety. Never came across Veal dish on a buffet but here you can surely expect it. If you are unsure of Egyptian cuisine, you have to try this place! Great work chef's and Restaurant staff. Thank you for making our visit a memorable one!

One of the top sushi restaurants in town. I place it along with Sapporo and Shogun in quality but it supersedes them in the other Asian dishes and the atmosphere and location. Try to get a table overlooking the Nile. We ordered the Mango greens salad which was tangy and delicious. After that we had the Pad Thai and some sushi. The waiter was very decent and professional. I highly recommend it.

A very nice & cozy restaurant-cafe in the center of downtown Cairo. To each his own: whether non air-conditioned in the inner courtyard or air-conditioned in the gallery, you can spend convivial hours here as a couple or with friends. Today I ordered mushroom cream soup and samosas (wrapped & fried pastry) with cheese. Everything perfect! Quality and serving way of the dishes, as well the service & prices are top! Highly recommended for anyone! Enjoy!

This place is located in the heart of Marriott hotel, which is a super iconic place to visit, not only to dine but also to see the amazing interior and the marble statuses 🏰 One of the best places to have a brisket with a heartwarming welcome from the employees! We got welcomed by warm buns and special made butter with meat that was fresh and delicious. 🍞 We had first, the amazing nachos as an appetizer, don't eat too much or else you'll get full so fast because the potion is huge! Recommended wine would be shahrazad if rosé and Omar khayyam if red. 🍷 Then as a main course we had the waiter's recommendation Ibrahim, the "beef short rib" and Texas brisket 🍖🥩 which were both yummmm.. As sides we had mashed potato and coleslaw, and to be fair the coleslaw had a lot of mastered and we aren't a fan.. But thats just us🤷🏻‍♀️ The staff are super friendly, talks and acts in a very kind way and the meal was one of the best since a while.. 👦🏻 Def visiting back to try some of the other menu components

A place that’s definitely on the expensive side but is worth visiting when you want to spoil yourself with good food, cocktails and the view of the Nile. The only thing lacking was a small dance floor but other than that, ana amazing spot for a family dinner, a get together with friends to chat or a date.

The Dead City is an eerie and haunting place that carries a sense of mystery and intrigue. As I wandered through its abandoned streets and crumbling buildings, I couldn't help but feel a mix of fascination and melancholy. The remnants of what was once a thriving community now stand as a testament to the passage of time and the impermanence of human existence. While the atmosphere may be unsettling, it offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the transience of life and the stories that have been lost to the ages. The Dead City is a poignant reminder of the impermanence of civilizations and serves as a powerful reminder of the fragility of our own existence.

The Giza Necropolis is a must visit if you are ever in Egypt. Tickets are very reasonably priced and easy to buy at location. Be careful there are several people who try to sell souvenirs for a very high price so don’t fall for their tricks. If you are visiting in the summer, I highly suggest bringing ur own vehicle as it makes it very easy to visit each of the pyramids as well as the sphinx. The winter on the other hand when the weather is colder makes it very easily walkable. There are 2 high quality restaurants on the premises (Lounge 9 and, Khufu). I highly recommend Khufu due to its high quality breakfast and stunning views. There are 2 panoramic view points allowing you to capture stunning pictures of the pyramids in a line. Be aware if you are bringing a camera with a lens, you will not be permitted to take it into the actual pyramids as it is prohibited. However, photos from the outside are allowed. Also, don’t forget to visit the sphinx at no extra cost. You get free access to the temple and close pictures of the old structure.

One of Egypt’s finest museums. The Coptic Museum is a welcome source of tranquility in the busy capital. Just a metro ride away from the centre, the museum has an impressive collection of Coptic art. The collection includes wonderful late Roman and early christian works of art, impressive textiles and awesome manuscripts. The building with its gardens and annexes is a gem itself. It has a very nice collection, but it’s rather small compared to other museums. In just over 2 hours you can go through the whole place in detail which is not a lot. The artifacts are placed in a nice chronological order, so that made for a good experience. And of course, the royal mummies are a must-see!

A variety of things are available in this market like clothes, bags, shoes, ornaments, art, souvenirs, etc. and also relatively cheap! Salesmen will try to persuade you, especially if they see you looking at something, but if you say no and carry on, they won't force you or become ill mannered if you don't buy.

Worth doing for the views at least once. You have to book tickets for entrance fee to the Tower and there is a minimum spend if you decide to dine at the revolving restaurant like we did, but it’s not expensive. They try to sell you more expensive tickets to jump the queues to get up and down, but if you buy the dinner ticket you get priority access anyway, so be careful on that. The views of the Nile and the traffic and the neon lights are great at night as this way you don’t see the amount rubble and building works going on around the city that are clearly visible during the day!

The items in this place are amazing and so is the architecture of the museum from the inside and out, but the sad thing that made me give it a 3 stars ratings is the very low maintenance that it has. There is dust everywhere, and the artifacts and mummies feel as if they’ve been thrown left and right sadly, and there are no plates explaining the items.
