Have always been and still is one of the best fine dining experiences in Auckland. They’ve kept the same standard of food quality and service all these years, still serving delicious food with outstanding presentation delivering an outstanding experience. Quite a stand out compared to the move to bistro styled dining in most other restaurants. A real MUST try if you love food.

First time experiencing a High tea. A variety of bite sized treats. Lots of teas to pick from. The "private room" we were in was dated/boring. The music was abit loud and boring for the theme (roaring 20's). Have been and done it. Lots of communication when booking. We paid $59 per person we were a large group of 18 plus a room fee..

Tres magnifique! A popular restaurant with fast and friendly service. We loved the French onion soup avec croutons et la Dijonnaise galette. Crepes Suzette and a Creme Brulee to follow. Superb 👌 (It's an easy walk there up Queen St after a concert or show).

Great Ambiance. The food was good but not great. The Raviolo was bit thick. Cocktails were not strong enough, seems to be diluted and felt like a mocktail. Service was poor, had to call multiple times and asked for a suggestion nobody attended for nearly 15 mins. Only 2 tables were there but not sure why that happend. Also the cocktails were supposed to be concocted live at the table but it was already mixed and served. Bit of disappointment with the service.

The food was sensational. I don’t think I have ever had such great lamb! The wine and cocktail menu is extensive and delicious!! The view is phenomenal. This is a place everyone needs to go once in there lifetime! The waiter was great filling up the water - always a good sign of service. However a couple of things, there was no background music which I thought was odd. The service was slightly slow - not due to the waiter being lazy, he non stopped work! There needed to be more staff.

This one is a hard review - impressions left after visiting Culprit. are more than mixed. Staff is really friendly, the service was good.. However, I was expecting much more from kitchen. First, not clear how they decided on meals from Chefs menu - for a company of 4 people, they brought 1 tartar, 2 pumpkins, and 2 brussels sprouts for bites part.. Tartar was a really good one. However, sharing one meal gave a thin impression instead of full experience. Pumpkin was plain, sprouts were honestly burnt and bitter. Sprinkling sprouts with cheap chips supposed to add a glimpse of fast food..? Strange move. Second, portions are really small, and the ingredients didn't seem that premium. Watermelon jelly tasted like soap. Brisket and duck were quite mediocre for a 600+ dollars bill. Subjectively, value for money is about 0.1 here. Long story short, this place should rethink the value they are trying to create before I come back here.

Food was very good, especially the bread with olive oil and olives as a starter. The bread has a smoked crust! Even though the food was good, the portion sizes were incredibly small and not worth the money. Feels a bit overpriced too. Drinks are good as well. Service is super kind and brings you into a good mood!

We came twice during a one week stay as we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Duck leg confit was cooked to perfection. Mussels (garlic and saffron) were full of flavours. Too bad there was no escargots available. There's a private room for function and we overheard that there's no minimum spend to get it. How splendid this place is.

Beautiful place with delicious food and drinks. The service was outstanding and the waitress we had was well versed in the menu and had great knowledge of pairing food and drinks to the customers, unfortunately didn’t get her name. Highly recommend the puff bread and cheese with honey & chilli (can’t remember it’s actual name!). They even did a cute little celebration treat for our anniversary!

We had a wonderful dinner experience here on my boyfriend's birthday. We chose extended series with a selection of 12 parts. Each piece has a special flavor and quite interesting combinations from Japan, India, Thailand and some dishes we can't guess the background seasoning. They are beautifully decorated, Fresh ingredients, some of the dishes are quite strong for our taste. Anyway we enjoyed it. After finishing dessert, the restaurant brought up a small cake with candles for my boyfriend's birthday. So nice! Thank you very much! Ambience: 10/10 Taste of food: interested. Service: 9/10 staff talk too fast when talking about food we can't catch up. Nice location! Great city view!

Went there for group dinner, order the garlic butter king prawns, everyone agreed that it was the best dish of the night. The prawns were a decent size, fresh and the flavour was amazing! Extra bonus is that they were a breeze to eat, peeled, gutted and the head comes off easily, thoughtful little step for the customer. Hubby had the eye fillet steak, good portion and he said was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back

Warm and personable greeting at the door from FOH, followed by a brief tour of their impressive premises before being escorted to our table. One Tree Grill has been a favourite of mine for more than 2 decades and I would consider that this is my top 3 restaurants of all time. One Tree Grill is a fantastic dining spot in Auckland that truly lives up to its reputation. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming and intimate, with dim lighting and soft music that creates a romantic ambience. You just can't find fault with the service from start to finish. It is top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff that are happy to recommend dishes and offer their expertise. The food is simply outstanding, with an impressive menu that includes both classic and innovative dishes. We had Pork Belly, Lamb rump & eye fillets for mains and every bit of food on each dishes are carefully presented to make the entire dining experience delightful. The wine list (as well as their underfloor cellar) is also impressive, featuring a great selection of New Zealand and international wines. Overall, One Tree Grill is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Auckland.

Expectations were sky high. I usually expect nothing, and most of the time my expectations are met. But my first outing to Onslow was different. Like a Swifty getting tickets to Taylor I was off to my first “celebrity chef” restaurant, complete with the giggles and a skip in my step. Well, I would skip, if I could remember how. I follow the Instagram feed; also like a teenage groupie. I’d studied the menu in advance with diligence, regaled the Favourite Husband with my recommended choices, and I was not disappointed. From the moment we arrived and were met by a super friendly guy who showed us to our seats and my new best friend who took our coats, I knew I had found my happy place. The crayfish eclair was our first treat. How can anything so sublime have not passed my lips before now. That crayfish is something I’m left dreaming and fantasising about. The fried chicken with pickles and caviar was a delight, although I didn’t get the usual “pop” from the caviar. Probably because I was scoffing not savouring. My least favourite dish was the chicken liver parfait with smoky maple syrup, bit too sloppy and sweet for me. Like an over enthusiastic spaniel puppy. The dish of the day for both of us was the tuna carpaccio. Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to photograph well, mainly because I had high concerns that whilst I was faffing about trying to get the right shot, the Favourite Husband would be getting more than his one third share. My new bestie passed us out coats as we left and I had a lovely chuckle with them. Onslow, I love you. I’m saving up all the Favourite Husband’s pennies to return. Best. Night. Ever.

We was lucky enough to see dolphins, whales and penguins during the cruise. Also, the great value of this cruise is the crew members who are very engaged regarding the protection of the sea and the marine animals, bringing awareness and educate about the marine life. I love this place nestled into the heart of the City probably over 100 years ago. Its architecture, the ferns and the flowers on a sunlit and blue sky day, it provides a tonic of peace love and tranquility. The little ornate statues rock my world especially. I've seen some extraordinary performances inside its trelace covered treacle brick colored walls. Peaceful and fascinating.

We had an enjoyable time here. It's a small aquarium built underground, below sea level. We spent about 40 minutes on the visit. Next to the small aquariums there are drawing paper and crayons for the kids to draw on the fish they like. There is also a small playround area for children. When you want to stop for a bit of rest or refreshments they have seats and a nice window view. This is a convenient place to visit, the entrance is on the right, the left is the exit. you can buy tickets on the website before arrival or buy on arrival. you will see the ticket counter on the inside side when going in. You should read about the history, the stories here you will find more interesting. Enjoy the moment.

Really enjoyed our visit. Was super busy (school holidays) but still got to see most of the animals. Zoo workers were friendly, a good amount of toilets and places to stop and sit. Plenty of play areas for kids and lots of space for them to roam around. We stopped at the lookout cafe which was lovely, friendly staff too. Signs were clear so we could find our way around quite easily. Maps however were all in Maori, no English so found that a bit hard, had to rely on the images, not sure if that was only temporary because we went during Matariki though. Was sad to not see the elephants but also glad to hear they've moved somewhere more suitable for them. It took us 4+ hours to get round the entire zoo. Also, highly recommend taking a toddler leash if you have little ones running around as you won't lose them. Pack water, snacks and extra clothes for your kids too as accidents happen often. It's a whole day trip!
