Ancient Forum- Pillar of shame This is originaly pillar of ancient Temple. In the middle age it was used as a pillar of shame. There was a green salery on this Square. And if somebody did something "ilegal" like steeling, this pillar was a place where accused/ guilty were chained to be mocked, humiliated and whipped. Most times, the whole city would stop by to witness this spectacle.
