We choose Blu for my daughter's wedding dinner with a guest count of 26. The restaurant provided us with a nice semi-private space for our event, and we opted for a fixed menu that offered a well-balanced selection of 4 appetizers, 4 main dishes, and 4 types of desserts. It was wonderful to have the freedom to choose our drinks as well. The food and the overall atmosphere were very satisfying. All the dishes from the menu were top-notch in terms of taste and presentation, leaving a spectacular impression on everyone; our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening and wished the newlyweds well. Though the restaurant did an excellent job overall, I have a few suggestions for improvement. Firstly, the live music in the second-floor hall was barely audible, and it would have been great if it could be made more prominent. Secondly, the guests were not informed about the menu items, leading to some of them not making the ideal choices for themselves. This resulted in guests exchanging dishes among themselves after they were served. Additionally, I expected a bit more attention and involvement from the waiters, especially considering we spent around $4000 on the dinner for 26 guests including 4 children and 11 adults with soft drinks . Despite these points, the pleasant atmosphere and fantastic food make Blu restaurant a definite recommendation for family celebrations.

Absolutely phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond, and were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and where it was sourced from. The presentation was grade A, and the food itself was phenomenal. I have zero complaints. They even printed a personalized note and had it sitting on the table upon arrival as we had attended for my mother-in-laws' birthday. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very homey and intimate. The experience from start to finish is exactly what I expect from a Michelin Star restaurant, if not more. Especially one in Toronto. This has been, BY FAR, the best restaurant experience I've had so far in Toronto.

We made a reservation for a group business lunch - we arrived a bit late but fortunately there were no problems with our reservation. We were seated and served promptly which was great given the size of our group. The food quality was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal. The restaurant was a bit loud with the other patrons which the restaurant could not control but it did take away from the atmosphere a bit. The staff let us take our time and did not rush us out after we finished our meal and paid the bill which was great service. I would definitely come back again in the future.

It was the first time going to DaiLo with much anticipation as it has been on my list for awhile now. Contrary to my anticipation, the food was unfortunately mediocre. The overall review of the food: it was mentioned to be family style dishes however the food was presented individually per portion and separated out, this is not family style. The portion is most definitely not family style type of dishes, everything was quite small for the price. Most importantly, nothing was “wow” out of the 8 different dishes we tried which is very surprising, to not be impressed with even 1 dish. Even the simplest dishes like Chinese broccoli was bland, and overall everything was pretty bland which was disappointing. I am really unsure how the 5 star reviews that rave about the food came to be.. Judging by the 8 dishes we tried, the consensus was that they are way overpriced. If they were really good, then the price would be understandable but unfortunately this was not the case. Service was great, servers were friendly and helpful with providing recommendations. Atmosphere was nothing special, I couldn’t recall anything particular about the restaurant. It was a good experience as I’ve wanted to visit this restaurant for quite some time now, but sadly I would not go back or recommend to other people as nothing really stood out nor was memorable.

Great atmosphere to the restaurant especially if you're seated with a lake view. Service was attentive and excellent overall. We had the tasting menu, the first four courses were great, layers of flavours really well combined. The 4 chip starter was amazing, that dish and the duck would easily be the top two courses of the meal. The last four were underwhelming compared to the first half. The fish while perfectly cooked, the flavour just didn't feel rounded enough with the accompanied sauce. The bison steak was cooked perfectly and flavoured well, but the wellington-like wrap tasted oily and didn't add to the dish, and the sauces also didn't round out the plate, the demi-glace was the saving grace. Both dessert courses were very rich, would have preferred something more acidic and lighter to wrap up a meal. The tasting menu took about 3hrs from start to finish. Overall a great fine dining experience.

My husband and I were recommended to check this place out. We are so glad we did. Everything we ordered was unique, delectable and refined. I loved that they had non-alcoholic drinks on their drinks menu, as a non-drinker it was pleasant to see they accommodated for that. The menu was also written extremely well, you didn't have excessive, fancy verbiage. The atmosphere was upscale but comfortable. The service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and professional. I could go on and on. Highly recommend!

Supposedly the BEST fusion restaurant in Toronto and it may very well live up to it's reputation. Fusion of both Chinese and French cuisine that presents a intricate, creative, and above all delicious tasting menu. Officially my favorite place in Toronto. Attended with a party of 6 - we all got the Chef's tasting Menu priced at $150/person. Totally worth it! Highlights of the night were: the Singapore Style Slaw, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, Oyster Shot, Wild Caramelized Black Cod and Asian Slow Braised Beef.

Definitely a steep price, but makes sense for the quality of food, care and attention. Even with staff members. From the moment you walk through the doors to when you receive back your car from valet. I don’t have much complaints about any of the dishes. Even cleanliness of the restaurant to the bathroom. I was a member of a group of 7 that ate at Woods for dinner. We had a reservation for 7:30, were seated promptly, and the wait staff was very nice and gracious. The atmosphere was wonderful and the live pianist was great to listen to, however we did take a few issues to our experience as a whole. The wait time was a bit long for our entrees. Our starters had arrived within 15min of ordering, but our entrees took much longer. We ended up waiting around 90min before the entrees were all served. Granted everyone's orders were served all at once, but we felt the wait to be too long without any communication from our servers. The food itself was great, but due to the timing of all the food coming out, we found one of the dishes to be room temperature and not hot as we expected. This was disappointing. Overall it was a good experience though.

Great ambience and very romantic atmosphere. Amazing experience at Opus Restaurant. The service was impeccable! Staff was very polite and highly attentive. Our server was very pleasant, and definitely very knowledgable about the menu as he was explaining new special items they had. They have an extremely extensive wine list. Their wine selection was absolutely impressive. It took us some time to choose. If you are a wine lover, this place is for you. Every single dish was so carefully crafted and full of flavours that blended together graciously. The presentation for each dish was flawless! The tenderloin especially was very juicy and perfectly done. The seared foie gras simply melted in your mouth and the beef tartar was just amazing good. We tried 4 different desserts and they all tasted really delicious and exquisite. Opus is definitely surpassed my expectations. Highly recommend to family & friends.

The cocktails are also tasty and not overly priced like some bars in Toronto. Alo really deserves to be the no.1 restaurant in Canada. Also, you can expect to be full after finishing the 11 course dinner menu. A really unique and satisfied fine dining experience overall.

I recently dined at Canoe restaurant with a group of four on a Friday evening at 6 PM, and I must say it was an incredible experience. We had reserved a week ahead of time, and I highly recommend doing so because this place fills up fast. We opted for the tasting menu, and it exceeded our expectations. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented in unique and original ways. The creativity and attention to detail were evident in every bite, and there was a consistent theme that tied the whole menu together. The service at Canoe was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine pairings. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. One of the highlights of our evening was the breathtaking views. We were fortunate enough to catch the sunset, and it created an amazing atmosphere. The restaurant's location allows for stunning vistas, making it a truly remarkable dining setting. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Canoe restaurant. The excellent food, consistently positive experiences, and remarkable atmosphere make it a must-visit. A rainy start on a weekday made all the difference! No lineups (except the Ferris wheel) made for a fun day for a 2 1/2 year old. The only downside was a statement we read that said as long as there’s an adult, a child can ride and that’s not true. There are height restrictions so wait until they are at least 3 feet tall if you want to ride them all. We brought snacks but also bought lunch at the burger place and it was very reasonable. Cheaper than that Golden Arches place and much tastier. Splash pad was a great way to cool off later in the day. The farm animals and ducks were a hit. We were sad the train wasn’t running but all in all a successful day. One suggestion: have a separate line for prepaid customers.

Beautiful flowers! This place is so peaceful and lovely for a walk or to sit. It's very well kept and I loved reading the signs about the different sections. The only issue was that it wasn't clear where we should walk to pass through the garden in order. We ended up missing some of the sections because there's not a natural flow to it.

A fantastic experience to behold within downtown Toronto that is suitable for any nature enthusiast or anyone look for an immersive experience amongst different flora. It's hard to say no to an experience with free admission to the public. There are several different plants to observe within the gardens In addition, a plethora of turtles roaming around -- what's not to love! Recommended to bring a water bottle with you into the gardens as it can get quite warm inside, especially in summer.

There are plenty of interesting things for the adults as well. Did you know there's a big plant called Tulip Tree? I didn't. I like it that the entire place is spacious with high ceilings. There are so many interactive & interesting things strategically placed not too far from each other so visitors don't crowd into one place. Can you spot the dragon lizard?

The entrances is one level down from street level, you walk past the food court to get to it (we couldn't find it at first, and had to ask). Good that you get a stamp on your hand, so you can go out and back in again - we went out for lunch in the food court (good) and came back to look at more stuff.

The museum's dedication to showcasing artifacts and exhibits from different cultures and time periods truly made it a unique and enriching experience. The attention to detail in the displays and the informative descriptions provided a comprehensive understanding of each collection. I particularly appreciated how the museum fostered cultural appreciation and understanding through its exhibits. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about different countries' histories all in one place. I highly recommend this museum to anyone interested in exploring Canadian history or Global heritage history.
