Funny story, on the way to Kabi, I stopped at a nearby pub and had a pint. While chatting with the bartender, he asked me where I was going and upon telling him, he said, “ah, I haven’t been there but the staff is young and very serious!” I chuckled, but upon finishing my meal, I applaud their seriousness and innovative, youthful nature because the meal was excellent!! Every single dish was uniquely unique, but still delightful to the palette. I would also strongly encourage the pairing. The selected drinks were intoxicatingly delicious and added a wonderful dimension to the meal.

The restaurant offers splendid views of Tokyo combined with a pleasant and welcoming ambience. We had dinner in the sushi bar and ordered the sazanami course with dry Sake. At the end of the course we also tried some mackerel and very fatty tuna nigiri out of a wide selection available in the fish box shown to us. Every single course in our meal was excellent in taste, balance and quality. We got assigned a great chef who throughout the meal explained what was served and very discreetly followed our reactions to make sure we are satisfied. Our waiter was very attentive, helped us select our course and the sake to accompany it. They both walked out with us in the end as we chatted about places we’re visiting in Japan. This was an excellent culinary experience for us and we highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Fantastic food with incredible mixes of flavor ranging from their own take of spring roll to wagyu to dessert jelly. The unagi or eel was especially delicious. A very important feature is that they provide fantastic service even to foreigners. They even keep in mind whether you are left handed or right handed while also explaining the different dishes they serve you over the course of the meal. Overall a great experience and well recommended if you are in the area of Akasaka or anywhere in Tokyo!

tucked away in a corner of Daikanyama is one of Tokyo's best restaurant that effortlessly combine California-inspired pacific seafood with Japanese best of class ingredients. (note they just reopened after renovation at the start of June 2023). this restaurant is featured in trip advisor's top-10 best restaurants in Tokyo, but man, the google ratings and reviews give it no justice. went here last night for the first time with my wife to celebrate her bday and was hugely impressed by the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff, and of course the food. its seafood fusion in all the best ways. hands down one of the best seafood restaurants in Tokyo. the brothers who own and run this place are laid back and really approachable.. they grew up in SoCal before moving back to Tokyo to bring a taste of California to Japan. it's a killer story that you can ask them about, which makes for an interesting conversation while you're dining. there's 2 different set courses (at least for now) and it's fairly priced -- we chose the 7-course set with 3 standouts: the seared Tuna Tostada with mango jalapeno sauce, the soft shell crab tempura with cucumber pineapple mint sauce and their lobster truffle risotto (signature dish)! each subsequent plate topped the one before it seemed.. needless to say I'll be back and highly recommend for you to check this out before there's a large wait -- it's a can't miss spot!

Probably my most favorite restaurant experience ever. Mark’s Tokyo is a warm, inviting location with amazing ambience. Couple this with Chef Mark’s personality and conversation skills, you feel like you’re home and among family shooting the breeze. He even gave us recommendations for other great restaurants and off the cuff requests such as where he sourced his knives. I haven’t even mentioned the food, my god the food. The omakase dinner course was delicious and diverse. Sourcing the ingredients from local farms with consideration for seasonality. You will not leave disappointed. My partner and I were jet lagged, hangry and even considered cancelling last minute. I’m so glad we didn’t. Mark is an experience I will forever cherish. My only regret is not getting connected with him, his business and the people we spent all night chatting away with. I can only see success in the future. Thanks for making Tokyo a memorable time for us!

Kappo ~ Open kitchen style of cooking originating in Osaka. This Tokyo-based chef does a wonderful rendition of Kappo cooking. It was a great treat to be able to taste all the wonderful flavors he came up with in this food pairings, pacing and innovative ways of using ingredients. It was definitely mouth watering. Chef was so thorough in his preparations that he paid attention down to the finest details of what you should be drinking your sake in.

Went here today for dinner. The ninja village was a bit of a dark maze but the staffs were very helpful and mindful of people’s safety. I love that the tables and seating are separate so more intimate and you can enjoy the food and the service. Food from the first course to the end were just to die for, very creative, top produce and well balanced. Each meal was creative and paired with some showmanship. Some food are disguised to look something else like the omelette and radish at the end with soy we’re actually pudding, Apple compote and caramel sauce. The Master Ninja at the end was very entertaining with his magic presentation. The experience has a wow factor, staffs great, food divine. Booking is a must!

Great value for money especially if you come for lunch. It’s a casual place which makes it more comfortable. Everything is so painstakingly crafted with utmost detail and perfection. Even the simplest looking dish had a multitude of flavors and depth to it. Simply amazing!! Prepare to spend at least 2 hours if not more to properly enjoy every single course. Do note that drink pairing is an additional cost to your meal.

Japanese cuisine within ANA Intercontinental Hotel at Akasaka. The set menus are so dedicate & beautifully decorated absolutely delightful to the taste buds as well as the eyes. Price was quite reasonable @USD 50 for the nice meal shown in the photos.

Readily accessible, sophisticated atmosphere and excellent staff service. Considering its price range, this is one of the most reasonable places to eat out in Nishi Shinjuku.

I don’t even know where to begin on this review. I’ve traveled over 20 countries eating in Michelin stars and hole-in-the-walls. This is a top 5 dining experience for me. The owner, Bonnie, is a kind soul who went out of his way to make me my own special curry when informing him I was allergic to some of his ingredients in his butter chicken but was eager to try it. My friend had additional food restrictions and Bonnie ensured us that he would personally oversee we were taken care of. The food was absolutely phenomenal, especially for the price. As other reviews say, this is a very intriguing place. It’s not a fancy restaurant, it’s a small, intimate hole in the wall, it almost feels like you’re in Bonnie’s kitchen. Food aside, Bonnie ended up sitting with us and discussing all different aspects of life. A true man of food, culture, and friendship. It was a wonderful way to end our last day in Japan. I will absolutely be returning to eat here. Never change, Bonnie!

Looks good, feels comfortable, but they don't address the cover charge of 500 yen per person (excluding tax) which you need to pay no matter what and the prices in the beer menu are also excluding tax. Beer glass sizes are tiny. Don't recommend unless you don't care about money and even then there are much better bars and way better bars for craft beer!

Pricey, but for a glamorous Tokyo experience this was great for our party of tourists. The room and view is jaw-dropping and the ambiance and service perfect. The food was exquisitely presented too, but what impressed me most was the subtlety of the dishes - clean and nourishing with a focus on traditional vegetables and fish. A hotpot of fish, mushrooms and cabbage sounds like peasant food but wow, it was incredible.

Very cool spot! This restaurant inspired a couple scenes in the movie Kill Bill. It's a very busy spot so get reservations! If you are a solo traveler you have to call to make a reservation for one. (corrected) BUT I walked in and was seated within 5min since there are ample spots at the bar. You are right in the thick of it too! Oh and the food was excellent as well! (If you ask nicely they will let you see the rooftop terrace where another scene was inspired from the movie)

2/5 The experience was great but the food did not wow me one bit. I get that most of the appeal of this place might be the entertainment or gimmick but if you’re going to a restaurant for that, you’re better off paying for an amusement park. The food itself was above average at best but given the VALUE for what you’re paying for, it’s quite mediocre. It’s expensive and at $200 USD I expect to be wow’d for at least 80% of the dishes but was wow’d zero times. Didn’t even bother taking pictures since I just wanted to leave halfway through.

I stumbled across this by accident as I was coming back from Shinjuku Chou Park. It's a free observatory deck located on in the South and North of the building. Unfortunately only the Southern Observatory Deck was open but after a quick check of my bag by the security person, I was on my way up the elevator to the 45 floor. Upstairs you will find a 360 view with a gift shop and food vendor along with bathrooms. It's very cool and it's free. There was a line to get back down but it wasn't too long. Would recommend.

Magically detailed and beautiful, a MUST for fans, kids, and artists. There are many rooms that highlight the animation process, story boarding, coloring, and character movement. It seems like there are little secrets hidden everywhere you look. There is also a showing of an unreleased short film, for which you get a souvenir ticket stub that has see-through cells from a movie. Nice gift shop and cafe. No photos inside the building, only outside. You will need to book tickets one month in advance.

Ueno Park is a must-visit spot in Tokyo, with free admission and beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring. The park is well-maintained, with clean facilities and a clear map for easy navigation. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the city.

Nice place to enjoy shopping, eating and a crazy Tokyo panorama, it costs 2000 yen per adult to go to the panorama view for an unlimited time. I advise going there 1h before the sunset to enjoy both Tokyo golden hour and night lights. If the weather allows it you have a wonderful view on Fuji-san 🗻. Don't miss the moon rise either 😊, it's also the good place to enjoy the view on the Tokyo tower 🗼 and a bit further Tokyo Skytree. For photographers, take something to block inner reflection lights 😉📷😊

You can go anytime you want. If there’s a lot of tourists, you have to fall in line. Free for public. If you’re visiting shibuya crossing or shibuya sky, make sure you stop by at hachiko’s statue. It’s just a few steps away from the said tourist spots.

I had a blast at Disneyland. I went on a weekday in the summer and the lines were not too long. I stayed there for about 8 hours and I had a lot of fun, visiting the different parks and trying the different foods. At the end, we got to see a parade and it was really cute. There's a lot of beautiful scenery and the park is great for friends and families. I want to especially compliment the staff, and how kind they are. They seem to really enjoy their jobs and wanting to make magical moments for people.

Nice place to visit. Peaceful ands spacious. Not many things to watch but, if you want to enjoy traditional Japanese edo culture, then it is worth to visit. In hot summer, it is highly recommended to prepare water to walk. It is large place but little sits to have rest. You need to show your bag in front of this palace to enter.

Walked about 2km to see this statue. Was about to choke on water when I saw the Shin-Godzilla statue: much smaller than I expected. Like a kid's meal to a regular meal 😂 Kinda taken aback to be honest.. Still looks kinda cool though. If you're a Godzilla fan and are nearby, well there's no harm in a short visit here...

"A park where you can also enjoy renting bicycles." There are many large parks in Tokyo, but there are not many parks where you can rent bicycles and enjoy cycling, so this is a good park. The park has a large area with a plaza, a dog run and a cycling course, which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It can be enjoyed in each of the four seasons, no matter when you come. Small children can borrow bicycles, which is recommended. Parking:Yes ¥600/first hour, thereafter ¥300/30 min, max ¥2400.

An absolutely magical day of experience. At a little over 8000 yen per ticket for an entire day of fun, it is worth the price over and over again. Each themed area is beautifully crafted and full of photo zones. The rides are fun (although not as exciting or intense for thrill seekers), plenty of affordable food options and cheerful staff will make this a day to remember. The night show, Believe! Sea of Dreams, alone makes this visit a success. It was a touching performance and yes, you should set up camp about an hour before the show to get a good viewing spot. I truly believe this is one of the very best theme parks in the world. Please be sure to set a day aside for it!

FOOD AND DRINK! Restaurants with 6 seats and everyone bustling by. What a lovely little market street of skewers and alcohol. This street is the perfect place to jump in and try anything and everything! The staff were busy but helpful. The beer was cold and the food was delicious. Just peak to see if there's a seat and tuck up next to others for some fast but very fresh and tasty food!

One of the best museums I’ve been to. Every exhibit is extremely intriguing and well documented. There are also exhibits of historical artefacts of other Asian countries. The architecture of the museum itself is breathtaking. It looks like it’s from a movie. The museum itself is massive, one could easily spend a day here. Staff were friendly, and the tickets were very affordable. It is also located in close proximity to the subway. Would highly recommend.

What a beautiful shrine. My second time here, it’s so special. You feel a calm and serenity within the city that you cannot get anywhere else in Tokyo - my personal opinion. Please enjoy the photos and short video.

Every time I visit, it feels like stepping into an oasis in the middle of a desert. The park offers a variety of seasonal flowers, plants, historical buildings, and even a modern Starbucks. If you're looking to escape the crowds of Tokyo, this place can be quite refreshing. There is an entrance fee of 500 yen. It might seem a bit expensive compared to other parks, but the park is well-maintained and beautiful. I especially like the grassy areas in the park. Just a friendly reminder that bringing alcohol and pets inside the park is not allowed.

Absolutely must do. I did not go all the way to the top. I only went to the 150M deck, which was enough for me. The weather was perfect, and you could see forever. It's hard to believe it's the largest city in the world, so clean and the people are amazing.
