Highly recommend. Make reservations early. Get up and go early too to stake out your spot in the observation building. We left around 3am from Kihei. Bring layers. We visited July 15. It was 40 degrees at the summit before wind-chill. Remember that this is a sacred place to the Hawaiian people. Please be quiet and respectful. Take only photos. Leave only footprints. I also recommend visiting the visitor's center once it opens.

The 3D IMAX whale movie is beautiful but a little short. The 3D glasses are very heavy. The rest of the exhibits are very educational. Enjoyed the staff discussion when they were feeding the green sea turtles which they do four times a day. There's paid parking up close but just on the other side of that lot is free parking when you first pull off the road well worth saving a few bucks you just have to walk a few extra steps.

This place can get very crowded, and it can be challenging to park close to the beach. However, there is ample parking atop the hill that involves a short walk. We LOVED watching the many Hawaiian Green Turtles sunning themselves on the shore -- it's quite a site to behold. And the view from the top (where the parking lot is located) is incredible!

The experience overall was great. Parking lot filled up early, overflow parking was across the street. Lots of things to do prior to dinner/show…photos with photographers on hand, shop local made merchandise, enjoy the views. Food was great, and lots of it, will provide non meat options if asked for. Drinks were equally as great, and an abundance of mocktails available if you don’t want alcohol. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would come back again.

It's small, thus the price is less. They offer a military discount!! For all active duty and vets out there who are interested. It's beautiful. The koi pond was destroyed in the last hurricane and is still under construction. The cave is cool. It's mostly paved and handicap accessible. They have a wide variety of plants from all over the world. And quite an impressive pitcher plant too! Definitely worth stopping by. They have some birds that kids seemed to love! And a chameleon at the beginning.

Rated best restaurant in America in 2022 and now we know why. No question, this was the best fish I've ever had. Incredible. I ordered the fish special for the day and was so happy I did. Great service as expected from a 5 star restaurant. Really cool old building but no view. That's the only downside. Great drinks and dessert too. Highly recommended for a date night but be sure to get reservations.

So so good!! Great location and atmosphere, we sat at the barefoot bar and everyone seemed to be having such a great time. Best service we've had in Maui, I unfortunately forgot the name of our waiter but he was amazing. The food was perfect and we were surprised at how inexpensive it was - we got two appetizers, two entrees and two non-alcoholic drinks and the bill was less than $100. Will definitely come back next time we visit Maui and recommend this place to all our friends.
