Ring of Brodgar - Wikipedia The Ring of Brodgar (or Brogar, or Ring o' Brodgar) is a Neolithic henge and stone circle about 6 miles north-east of Stromness on Mainland, the largest island in Orkney, Scotland. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Heart of Neolithic Orkney.

Stromness Harbour The early houses and piers of Stromness were built on the western shore of Hamnavoe. When they ran out of space, they began building on the opposite side of the street and up the hill. As well as businesses offering repairs and provisions for visiting ships, there were over 80 drinking parlours in Stromness; ranging from inns to enterprising folk making a home brew in their kitchen.
