Good food let down by poor service received on the night. All the dishes we ordered were of good taste and quality. Within our party we ordered the seafood chowder, fried whale, stew of game, skagenrore and cured reindeer. All the dishes were tasty and well received. The chowder came out a bit cold and when asked to help reheat it, they actually ended up serving completely new bowls - this was great service and we appreciated it. Where we felt let down was the waitress and how she dealt with us. She was inattentive, short spoken and unhelpful. Worst was when we came to pay and tried to use the Oslo pass for the discount. When we went to pay not all of us had downloaded the pass onto the app so we took a few minutes to activate it (accept this was partially our fault as we thought only one person had to show it). The waitress was visibly annoyed and even made a remark how "other restaurants would have called security". Very unimpressed and to note, every other restaurant we dined at using the pass didn't even ask to see it! I also read other recent reviews that spoke of poor service so this is clearly not isolated. Please do something about your service.

Looking for an Indian restaurant we came across this place. At first we dismissed it but fate must have it that we had to come here. And am I glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing. Being of Indian origin we like our flavours and spice. Thinking we’d want it ready spicy we were advised that level three is Indian spicy so we took the advice and were not disappointed. Go here for good quality and fair priced Indian food with good flavours. The staff are attentive. The bathroom is large and very clean. Outside seating available to those who like to go Al fresco.

The restaurant is situated at the hilly park where we enjoyed the beautiful sunset and panoramic view of Oslo. Food is very delicious, service is great the waitress gave us enough time and space to enjoy our food and wine. Ambience and vibes are great. We took a pleasant walk downhill after dinner to enjoy the amazing view. The whole experience is perfect!

The food was amazing. The restaurant presented many tasters for their appetisers and sweets. The ambience was a bit boring, there was no interesting music and the furniture and decor were too classic. But going back to the food it was a really positive experience and fair value for money.

This was one of greatest food experiences. The concept and the execution of the food is completely unique. Beyond learning about each of the 22 courses (bites). some of the ingredients sound scary (from fish cheeks to “gone bad” anchovies to brown bananas ) - but taste unbelievable and is entirely different from what one would expect. Wine pairing is also an experience. the entire staff if dedicated to the concept - creative and exceptional.

We have been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The dishes are well presented, creative and the quality of the products do not disappoint. I personally wish that the flavors would be a bit more daring as the presentation at times was greater than the actual flavor experience. For Oslo the price tags are fair.

Service and atmosphere is top notch and very detailed oriented. But we left a little disappointed with the amount of food. Paid 4500 NOK per person but were served very little food (15 diff items) for tasting menu so we left still a little hungry. The appetizers started out amazing with exquisite design & finely curated dishes. Followed by main dishes which were amazing as well. After the main dishes, we were served 1 mind blowing dessert. The staff came and told us that there's plenty more to come so we were very excited for a few more exquisite desserts. We were only served 1 decent small ice cream cones & 2 normal tasting small cinnamon rolls each for the finale. This was a giant disappointment for us and left us wondering if that's really the ending. So the experience started out amazing but ended up very underwhelming for a menu so expensive.

This was the best restaurant I visited during my entire trip to Norway for the first time. Even though I’m not a fan of pork knuckle, I decided to try it out after reading the reviews. It turned out to be the best crispy pork knuckle I’ve ever had. Portions are generous and best shared with a group. What was even more amazing was the service. I was seated immediately and had my order taken promptly even though the restaurant was very crowded. Food arrived piping hot in double quick time (even though I was getting used to waiting quite long in other restaurants in Norway). Every single staff was friendly and attentive. Special mention to the front of house lady whom I believe was the lady owner of this family run restaurant. She was so warm and sincere to everyone. I even witnessed her giving recommendations and directions to a couple of customers who had mistakenly wandered in looking for coffee. When they left, she even wished them well and hoped they get to enjoy Oslo. What an amazing ambassador for her country!

Go early! If you want to see the castle without a lot of other people around you need to go as early as possible. The back portion of the yard will not be accessible until later however. You can talk to and take pictures of the guards. The park it self is very beautiful and nicely laid out. A small paradise in the middle of town. I saw people walking dogs, kids playing and a lot of people just small chatting using the many benches that were provided.

In my opinion, this is a must see in Oslo. Don’t try to walk here, it’s kind of a pain to walk to from the city, speaking from experience. Although the walk was beautiful, so if you’re up for a bit of a hike, go for it. Take a city bus here for sure, or the ferry. Just note that if you choose to take the ferry, the last one leaves back to the city at 18:10. I really enjoyed this museum because of how unique and interesting it was. You get to walk in throughout the ship, which was the highlight. They have lots of really interesting exhibitions about arctic exploration. They also have other museums right here that you can go to. There is a really nice lookout point behind the museum once you’re done to enjoy the Fjord and see all the boats passing by.

Beautiful ornate cathedral in the city center of Oslo. The main aisle contains impressive chandeliers that lead you to the main altar. The main altar sits in front of a large sculpture that contains the crucifixion and what appears to be the last supper. The parish church for downtown Oslo was first consecrated in 1697, and in 1950 it was restored back to its original baroque interior.Oslo Cathedral is the main church for the Church of Norway Diocese of Oslo. The ceiling has been painted in bright colors that adds a nice contrast to the rest of the cathedral. There is a smaller sculpture of the last supper off to the side and is worth a stop to see it.

Extraordinary and Atmospheric Museum of Great Artist In the several rooms of this interesting museum are presented sculptures and models that were created by well-known Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. There are concepts of sculptures that are now part of the bridge, fountain and obelisk in the park in Frogner in Oslo. Furthermore, in the museum are also several models that were never realised on the full scale (some of them showing Vigeland's visions of heroes of sagas and Eddic poems).

They carry out beautiful demonstrations of the Nordic lifestyle along with traditional dances and music every hour. There are 2 multistorey museum buildings which are also worth visiting. Very enjoyable visit! I recommend going around 13:30 to see the changing of the guard, it’s very cool! They do it every day at the same time. A lot of people show up for it to watch, so get there around 15-30 minutes early to get a good spot. If you’re up close and facing the palace, to your right you will see a small house. That small house is where they go in and out of during the ceremony, and do a lot of activities there. It might be nice to view the ceremony from close to that little house. The actual guard changing happens at the guard posts, so if you want to see that, then position yourself near one of the already stationed guards. Furthermore, there are a total of five guards on the property that undergo the changing of the guard ceremony. Four all around the place itself, then one at the very back entrance, seemly very unpopular and unknown position. Once they start changing the guards, they walk around the palace and change them all one by one. You can follow from a distance and watch them change each guard. It is very cool!
