Milan, Metropolitan City of Milan, Italy
August 10, 2023
Milan is located in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the region of Lombardy, Italy. It is the second-largest city in Italy, and serves as one of the main economic and cultural centers of the country. The city has a rich history, dating back to Roman times when it was known as Mediolanum. Throughout the Middle Ages and into the Renaissance period, Milan was an important center for trade and industry. Today, it is a major financial center, home to some of Italy’s most important companies and universities, as well as a major tourist destination. The

Our experience was exceptional, heavenly even. Giulia and Andrea made us feel at home, and we were blown away by the creative, delicious flavor combinations of Andrea's beautiful dishes. This by far exceeded the level of meals we've previously had at Michelin star restaurants. The food, the atmosphere, the wonderful service, even the immaculate bathrooms - do yourself a favor and have dinner at the La Societá Milano.

Sweets are amazing, drinks ok but staff is terrible. Very rude, lazy, unhelpful. They were even trying to cheat me when giving change. Go there, enjoy the sweets, give no tip. Let's teach them some manners.

Best food in Milan - esp in the $25-30/dish range. We came twice because the taste was divine. Outstanding service, too. They kindly accommodated us twice on short notice, though it's advisable to make a reservation given the demand. If there's only one thing they could improve, it would be the desserts - we tried almost all of them, and they're very good, but not at the level of the apps and mains. The mains were incredible. Came for lunch and dinner, and we tried several restaurants in Milan. The seafood / Sorrento risotto is one of the top 3 dishes I've had in Italy after traveling to 5 cities around the country, and it vividly brings back memories from childhood of playing in the ocean. I cannot imagine visiting Milan without coming here for this dish. Hats off to the chef and team. Pricing was absolutely reasonable for the quality.

Great location as you can see the church while dining. Food taste good except the omelette is a bit too salty. The waiter is however not too friendly. They are not rude or anything but I dont feel welcome when I walk in and when I was ordering. I guess they are under staff so they are busy and can not smile.

Disappointing food and service - try not to visit unless desperate. We had lunch just after 2 and the place was buzzing. We were seated downstairs - space of about 10 tables. Unfortunately there was only one server and she was waiting on and clearing tables - poor girl was overworked and couldn’t catch a break. That being said - server had tried her best but service was slow and food took a while to come. Food we had was very average - we had a mortadella panini, truffle ravioli and polenta fries. Nothing to hype about panini, ravioli felt almost store bought, and polenta fries were hard, very oily and looked to be double fried.

WOW! I loved my experience at Valentino Legend! Easy to make a reservation, then immediately seated upon arrival. The plan feels elegant and has a calming ambiance. It is spotless elegance, superb professional, and friendly service. Huge value as prices as on point for the portion size but above all the flavor and sofistication of entrées and whole menu you get. If I lived here, I'd be here every week!

Desco has been a wonderful surprise and it's one of the few place I visited where I had a perfect balanced experience. I had dinner with my wife (who is vegan) and both of us have been really impressed by the talent of the Chef and the quality of the food. We tried both vegan and not vegan food and every course was wonderful! The wine list is extremely interesting and the owner and all the staff were extremely kind and professional. The dining room and the place in general are very contemporary and cool and the atmosphere is great both for groups and for a romantic dinner. There is also a small garden in the center of the restaurant where (in spring and summer) you can just have a drink. So If you stop by or live in Milan I strongly recommend this restaurant!

Seafood was very fresh. Lobster pasta was impressive. Perhaps better wines would complement such quality food. Vlad though young was attentive n friendly. Ambient, abit cramp. And I think the restaurant should make effort to stop other guests from verbally attacking other guests....yeah like "please take your fight outside " ha ha ha

Best Veal Tonnée in town. The difficulty to book a table just adds to the hype. Simple dishes ("poor" ingredients) but in a city where appearances are more important, it is one of those few place where you can still get quality. Good wine list with small producers, appreciated. If we didn't live in Milan we would never pay these prices, but it is what it is...

The food and service were excellent. Prices are fair too. The beef carpaccio with shaved black truffles was very good. You could really taste the truffle. The filet with green peppercorn sauce was also very good. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.

We had lunch here and was very pleasant with the service. Food was okay, not the best we had (at least in our opinion) yet presented well. We were at the terrace, and I think our table was the second to the best for the duomo view. Our waitress was super nice too. Overall a bit on the pricey side but that’s expected given the location/view!

Took the Chef's table with 2 Michelin Star Chef Antonio Giuda, what an experience it was sitting in the kitchen and being looked after by the Chef himself. They offered us the wines that paired perfectly with every course. A spectacular diverse flavours and ingredients. From veal, to swordfish, caviar. Each dish was a piece of art. Probably one of the best meals I've had. Service was top notch, with all personnel being super friendly and accommodating, from the chefs to the waiters etc

The castle and museums are really nice to visit. I’d recommend going around the ground which are free, and also paying the small €5 fee to go inside the museums. It is well worth the price and you will have lots of different things to view. It’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

Piazza della Scala is a beautiful square in the heart of Milan. The square is not very large, but it is well-maintained and clean, centerpiece of the square is the Leonardo da Vinci monument. It is a great place to visit if you are interested in opera, history, or simply want to see a beautiful square in Milan

Busy square, but a must see if in Milan. Stunning detail in the architecture. We didn’t go inside due to limited time, but were able to get some pretty close views of the top by stopping at Il Bar, a rooftop bar/restaurant next door. This building leaves one with a sense of awe and wonder. A truly beautiful sight.

Symbolic square of the modern part of Milan. As soon as you arrive in the square it has a somewhat strange look but then when you look closely it also becomes kinda interesting. Near the square there are many offices, cafés, restaurants and shops. The historic area near the square is also very nice, which has several nice restaurants with good prices to consider

I must admit that it is my favorite monument in Milan. It is located in a beautiful area, close to the green lung of the city! The architecture of the building is really very interesting. I recommend, to those who are interested in architecture, to go right next to the monument to catch some very interesting details.

Great to see the inside of this famous theatre, even if there was nothing on when we visited. We went as part of entry to the small, but fairly interesting museum, with exhibits of costumes and props they use in performances as well as paintings and sculptures of famous figures from the theatre's past.

The square, great. Very busy on a weekend. There is a place called Amorino just next to the Cathedral. They make the ice cream in a rose shape. Looks good but the taste not great. The waiting time not worth it. At least 30 minutes if you are lucky. If you want to visit the Cathedral, make to buy tickets in advance. Can't buy it on the day, it will show as sold out. Also, the are guides there that will approach you to get tickets then to enter in 40 minutes for the price of 40€ per person. Funny how online the tickets are not available but with the guides, is possible. Make sure to come in the morning as is madness around lunch time onwards. But if you are a fan of that, is worth it.
