This place focuses on selling the scenery, and the food is not particularly delicious, just average. If you're looking for great food, you might be disappointed, but the scenery is undoubtedly beautiful. The prices are very high, with the cheapest steak costing IDR 600,000. I read reviews that said the steak is just okay, so I ordered a burger and fried beef dumplings. The skins of the fries and beef dumplings were too hard, but the truffle sauce for the fries was tasty. The burger meat was a bit dry, and the seasoning was average. I probably won't visit again.

How beautiful and how delicious! I was pleasantly surprised because I saw the negative comments, but I sincerely recommend it, if you like French cuisine, with soft and creamy flavors, which personally fascinates me, no strident flavors or too many spices, which I was very grateful for, it was delicate food . The only thing I need is salt, but I am one of the people who always needs to have salt close by, For the rest I liked the projection explaining the different dishes, the food was excellent! For me it was romantic, fun and beautiful. Of course everything can be improved, the projection, and also do it on the floor or walls, put more effects, such as liquid smoke, but I know that it would also be more expensive, which of course I personally would pay for.

The place is good. They have several private rooms for you who wants to reserve a place for certain event. The Sate is delicious, but other food is not that good. Probably because I like spicy food, while the food here is not spicy at all. But for those who wants to entertain guest, this is the right place.

I dislike asparagus but the chef made a good job to convert me. Foie gras was beautifully accompanied by sweets. The tenderloin was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The deserts are just amazing. Love, love, love their breakfast buffet selections! By far the best breakfast I've had compared to any other hotels in Jakarta. My fave picks are: smoked salmon, hash brown, chicken sausage, soup with chicken/beef broth. Even the scrambled eggs are perfection. If only I have more space in my tummy, I would spend 3 hours to slowly digest and savour the taste. I look forward to try their lunch and dinner buffet some time in the future. Thank you, you just gained a loyal customer, hope you can maintain the quality of all the food & keep up the wonderful service ❤️

Visited this place for Iftar buffet. Most of the foods taste average except for the special Middle Eastern cuisine. Totally love their Middle Eastern dessert, especially the bread pudding called ashta. Too bad they don’t serve any lamb dishes as I expected. The decorations are great, but I would say that the service is so-so. However, it was a good experience having a dinner here.

A premium restaurant, with very nice hommy interior. People said, you can rank the quality of the reastaurant based on its kitchen or its toilet / restroom, so have you seen many restaurant non hotel with toilt / restroom like this one ? Many private rooms available in the two levels house restaurant. Even non private room is quite having its privacy because the space enough to have its privacy between each tables. It also has small garden in the house. The food and beverages are good. They have many options for dessert too. For today, I had my es kopyor duren and fresh orange juice. Kopyor is known as Macapuno or Coconut sport (according to Wikipedia), meanwhile Duren or Durian is king of fruit, one of the best tropical fruit, especially in South East Asia. The mix of them with ice and brown sugar is good to enjoy in the heat. For the food, I am satisfied with the fried prawn, steam fish, fried noodle, and several others. For dessert, I enjoyed the coffee latte, even tough there are better coffee in other place, but its is okay.. also the fried tape cake. You know tape ? It's called cassava tape, and it's fried... Located in premium house area too, Menteng, where the high end family and top politician have their houses in this area.

I didn’t expect to have a great zoo in Jakarta. It is noticeable that the air is fresher than the outside of the zoo. To enter is very cheap. The food sold is so value for money as well. No wonder so many people enter the area. To get a lesser visitor enter early in the morning. It is a nice place to run or cycling around the lake.

A museum dedicated to their national textile crafts. The museum has 4 buildings for visitors + a garden growing plants for coloring. In my opinion people can easily miss out the buildings other than the weaving exhibition, so please walk around and find your way. I personally liked the batik exhibition which looks more organized and being cared. The works are displayed by areas or cities not the years. You can see how the villages retains their tradition and techniques, at the same time how they embrace new waves. Batik/wax-resist dyeing is now spread around the world, but here you can see the original arts. Admission fee is affordable 5,000rp and not crowded. There are a workshop and a small shop. The traffic outside is crazy, but the place is quiet and not crowded. Recommend for crafts enthusiasts and solo travelers. One thing to improve, I found the captions are less informative, and not the all texts are written in English.

The oldest temple in Jakarta. From wiki info, it was rebuilt twice after the Chinese massacres in 1740 and after a fire in 2015. So it looks nothing like an ancient temple. For praying, start from 2nd floor and follow the number in descending order found below the Buddha/deity. After finished praying at number 29, then proceed to 1st floor. The incense are free for both floors. You can ask for fortune or queries on future with the divine lot (bamboo stick with number) from Guanyin Buddha and the lot explanation book is on the Buddha left. The words are all in Malay and you can use google translate to get the meaning for your lot.

The literal translation of Lapangan Banteng is “bull’s field”. This is one of the oldest park in Jakarta, built prior to Indonesia’s Independence in 1945. Located in the center of Jakarta, this park is huge, perfect for morning run, either inside the park or outside the park as there’s (supposed) to be comfortable pedestrian walk but kind of swarmed with hawker food cart, which contributes to the mounting trash that can be quite uncomfortable. While the inside of the park is quite clean with many pathways surrounded by trees or grasses, very suitable for a slow walk or a jog. And a lot of sitting area which are located aesthetically within. The only downside is that “no pet is allowed”. So if you want to bring your pet, the only option is the pedestrian walk surrounding the park but it can be quite dirty. Lapangan Banteng is also next to Cathedral and Istiqlal mosque, so this can be a nice walking distance sites to visit for tourists. All in all, this is a very nice park, except for the hawker food cart which caused too much trash outside the park. I think they can be managed better by local authorities to maintain the cleanliness.

Situated in the old town, in a rather run down colonial building, this fascinating museum is well with a visit if you are interested in Indonesian culture and it's famous puppetry. How tragic that it is stuffed in a museum! The figures and puppets are so rich in the stories that they would like to tell, and what a treat it would be if children and adults today would be able to see and hear then again. But that impulse awaits someone who would like to bring it back to life. Highly recommended, so long as your imagination is alive.

Museums function as educational establishments preserving our cultural heritage. It was a perfect occasion to immerse myself in hands-on experiences that brought to life the theoretical history lessons I acquired in high school, encompassing everything from Darwin's theory of life's origins to the evolution of civilizations. The central message conveyed is that, upon examining the development of civilizations, from hunting and ironworking to pottery, agriculture, and modern society. We come to recognize the fundamental similarities shared by all human beings. The National Museum of Indonesia serves as a showcase of such commonalities between Asian and African civilizations

A pretty expansive theme park offering a glimpse into different parts of Indonesia. Entrance tickets could be purchased online for 25,000 rupiah per person, which seemed like a reasonable deal. There are buses available to shuttle people around, though general information seemed to be lacking upon our entry. We felt as though more guest information could have been made available to better understand the lay of the land and how to get around. We wandered for a while and used Google maps to attempt to get our bearings, though maybe others who enter from different entrances are given different information.

Opulent architecture and interior. Great for those special occasions. We had high expectations for the food and service that sadly met with no avail. Tried their lunch special of a curry rice that looks so good, but failed to incite my taste buds. It lacks spice and immediately felt like I’m not in Asia. The pizza, on the other hand, was definitely the better option. The service is the same kind of service you’d get from other hotels, needed to raise hand a few times to get attended. Overall, a great option to the city’s bustling culinary scene, but still has ample room to improve.

First time going here, I was amazed by the Javanese-themed decorations that had a luxurious touch to it. I had the impression that I had been transferred to Central Java because of the atmosphere's tranquility and special appeal. The facilities were exceptionally clean, and the service was excellent. The entire meal, staffs were accommodating, courteous, and attentive to our requirements. They had a thorough understanding of the menu, which made placing our order a breeze. The majority of the foods on the menu were exceptional in both taste and presentation. This restaurant is a great spot for gatherings or welcoming guests from abroad, as it provides a perfect blend of Javanese ambiance and luxurious feel. The seating arrangement was spacious and comfortable, making it ideal for both intimate and larger groups. Overall, I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with excellent service, mouth-watering cuisine, and a touch of luxury.
