One of the finest places in colombo to have dnner, drink or a casual business meeting or a meetup with your partner. I recommend to go there after 6.00pm. Otherwise you can feel the sunny hot. After 6.00pm it will be created a nice scene infront of the colombo harbour with the lights. Their food is tasty. Specially beef deval. They have happy hours at 5.00pm to 7.00pm. But no for beer. You can get a free omlet with beet pitch. Service is really good. Also the place environment is classy level. They have a limited car park in the ground floor.

This place was on the top of my list to try. Don’t fault the Kingsbury for this restaurant because it just doesn’t match the service at the Harbor Court or Honey. We waited a long time for a waiter to even show up. And then, it was a little awkward. The process of ordering food is not intuitive. So here’s what to do; Look at the styles of cooking. Decide first if you want fried, grilled, curry style, etc. Then go up and pick your seafood, like hand pick it. This was actually a lot of fun. The pricing is “per 100 g” so if the scale reads .503 kg, and the food is 1000Rs, that’s 5,000Rs. You can ask for 200-500 grams of something most times. Like Stingray, we asked for an appetizer of 200g, fried. And it was great. Hope this helps future diners! Just a note to the hotel, you need your best English speaking staff here. The process and the cooking at this restaurant is unique and you need to be able to communicate well with the patrons.

The food was absolutely delicious! We tried the batter fried ship, the nasi goreng and the mambo. All of them were perfectly cooked and were very flavorful although the nasi was a tad spicy. They were not stingy with the isso (prawns) too! However the AC was not enough and it was a bit stuffy inside. But the service was very prompt.

Sahal- Authentic Srilankan Fine dining restaurant. They have calmed and huge amount area with lots of seating areas. When I was there I saw 3 food stalls and I get their menus for my late lunch. After couple of times I decide to order vegetarian Cheese kottu. Then I compare the prices and their services. Finally I choose 1st stall for my lunch. After I odered my Kotthu I seated corner table. Then I met my university friend and I invited them to join and enjoy lunch. Looks good. This the first time I tried cheddar cheese koththu. It's a good potion with lots of vegetables. I like to get lots of vegetables in my lunch. At the moment it's worthy dish for me. ☆ I uploaded some photos of kotthu they served. If anyone found cheese on it please dm to me.😅 Customer service. When I visits Sahal- Authentic Srilankan Fine dining Restaurant one lady come and ask me "how can I help you sir" then we say her to we want try new food dishes and after I say I'm vegetarian and then she says, " Sir try this cheese kottu it's comes with fresh milk and cheddar cheese." After that I decide try this kotthu. Then I say her to we'll come back an set the order. After few minutes me and my buddies walk to all food stalls and ordered several dish for them. ( There are variety of food cultures like Japanese, Korean, Italian, USA (mac) and Srilankan also.) Then we came to get my vegetable cheese kotthu and we decided to seated upper area because there not crowded. Then a guy come and ask us what we need to eat. Then I orded my kotthu. While I ordering my Kotthu one of my friend ask them to can he bring his dish to this place to get lunch with me. Then that guy offer him to if you want to bring other stalls food. First he had to order either cool drinks before seating for dining. ● That's why I put 2 🌟 s to their customer services. By the way cheese kotthu is delicious. But I never ever go their again. never recommend for any one who need good customer service.

Its a beautiful place just in front of D.S college. It must be an old wallawwa (kind of a old mansion) renovated and transformed into a restaurant. If you wanna go there I would recommend to reserve first. Because if its full you have to go upstairs and it doesn’t have greater ambiance. Food is tasty and staff is friendly. However prices of food is overpriced (considering all factors). VAT is not included in the menu shown. It has been added separately. Other than that its a good restaurant. You can get private dining as well.

I just had an unforgettable experience at a Hilton Colombo Residences Friday Dinner buffet. The dinner price included a cocktail as well. The ambience was enchanting, with elegant decor and warm lighting setting the perfect mood. Dinner consists of my favourite sushi dishes, dumplings and enough seafood and meat options. I'm thoroughly enjoying every morsel of the dishes. They had action stations for Hoppers, Pasta and BBQ. The chefs' artistry was evident in the impeccable presentation and exquisite flavours. Creamy cheesecakes, watalappan, and ice cream kottu are just some of the mouthwatering dessert options. The attentive staff made us feel like royalty, and our needs were promptly attended to. It was an evening of pure indulgence and a culinary journey that will stay with us forever.

No complains. One of the best I’ve been to. Not a big restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Can accommodate up to around 30 people I guess. Service was superb, friendly and homely. The food was delicious and was quickly served. Dishes are authentic and the portion size is good enough. The beverages were top notch as well. The hot chocolate, specially, was huge and tasted awesome. Would not hesitate to go there again. Recommended. Prices are in the range of that of a fine dining restaurant.

Pros: Unbelievable vibe. Super cozy and warm atmosphere. A solo guitarist was playing and it was so soothing. Service is good and professional. Food is good and can say its worthy for what you pay. Cons: Cocktails how ever has low value for money, you get half a glass of drink for what u pay. They charge VAT and service charges which sums up roughly 1/5 the total bill. Going through the reviews I saw that VAT has not been charged on some bills. May be its there from certain amount upwards 🤷 Overall its well recommended for a romantic date night or for a cozy private dinner out.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Harbor Court Restaurant with my wife for their dinner buffet, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the service crew greeted us warmly and provided us with outstanding hospitality throughout the evening. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food options, leaving us spoilt for choice. I must say, there was absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the dinner buffet; it has easily become one of the best dinner buffets we've had in Colombo. What impressed us even more was the flexibility in dining options at Harbor Court Restaurant. They offer two time slots for dinner: the first one from 6:30 PM to 9 PM and the second round from 9:30 PM to 11 PM. Additionally, if you're in the mood for a drink, you can easily request one here. The selection of food is abundant, and each dish is bursting with flavor. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as this place tends to get busy. When making your booking, be sure to mention if you're celebrating a special occasion during dinner. The staff will pleasantly surprise you with a silent event tailored to your celebration, adding an extra touch of magic to your experience. Overall, I can recommend the dinner buffet at Harbor Court Restaurant enough. worth a visit, and I assure you that you won't be disappointed.

Recently I had a good experience at the planetarium of Sri Lanka. Their ticketing system should be improved because until you go there and get the ticket it's not sure. So they should have an online ticketing system at least for a certain amount of seats. Further if they can simplify some of the contents in the show it is better for school children to understand more.. If they develop the children's play area is also good. There is a canteen as well outside.

Well worth it! Mark is a wonderful guide- very intelligent and passionate about the history of Colombo. He provides a detailed overview of the history of his city through its architecture. His tour is full of interesting facts and his delivery was very entertaining. He is extremely invested in understanding Colombo’s shifting cityscape and preserving its cultural history. His concern is that people all too often adopt the mindset of “out with the old and in with the new” and are too quick to tear down older structures in favor of modern buildings. His stories about the infrastructure of Colombo animate the city in ways that would otherwise be overlooked. He clearly loves the rich cultural history of Colombo and leaves this sentiment with his guests. Beyond this, Mark is genuinely kind and helpful; he provided our group with insights into the local tourism industry, making thoughtful suggestions so that we could maximize our stay here.

🛍️ This market exudes a picturesque charm and possesses immense potential, yet the impact of the pandemic and the decline in tourism has taken a toll. A considerable number of shops have shuttered, leaving behind a selection that primarily consists of budget electronics and everyday consumer goods. ☕ While a couple of cafes exist, they lack distinctive appeal. However, the market does provide a welcomed oasis in the midst of a bustling area. It's a spot where you can pause for a few minutes, finding respite after a busy exploration of the market. 🚍 The market's surroundings serve as a local and regional transportation hub, contributing to the daytime congestion. As dusk falls, the area attracts a less desirable crowd, making tourists wary. Many businesses remain closed, and the open ones offer little that's truly captivating. 📸 The market's photogenic qualities offer a redeeming feature, adding a touch of allure despite its challenges. It's a reminder that appearances can be deceiving, as the market's potential is overshadowed by its less favorable location. If you found this overview valuable, consider marking it as helpful to encourage more comprehensive reviews 📦🌟

A chill bar in the heart of Colombo, inside the majestic Shangri-La Hotel. We stopped by last night after dinner to hang with friends and shared a few drinks. The interior decor was slightly over the top - they could have fit in more seating in exchange for cabinets shelved with glassware. A live band was playing classical music. Overall, an inviting ambience. Cocktails, though overpriced, were presented well with a perfect blend of ingredients. The Whiskey Sour, at 2300LKR, was top-notch. The gentleman's penicillin, however, tasted too strong and was not worth the 5300LKR.
